Shelf fits perfectly into pine TrofastAlisonI purchased a pair of pine Trofast shelves when I bought my units 15-20 years ago and have regretted not purchasing more at that time. I don't have the tools to build/cut my own so after waiting fruitlessly for pine shelves to become available I purchased these. They'll do but I really wanted pine shelves, or even bamboo.

What happened to the other natural choice?AnonymousI have a few Trofast units and had purchased the natural pine shelves in the past. As my daughter is growing up, the colorful bins are a bin juvenile and she wanted to switch to shelves and decorative fabric baskets. I was disappointed that the natural wood option is no longer available. PLEASE bring it back and also offer a black option to go with the black version of these shelves (for the office).
sturdy well madeAnonymousI bought this about a month ago. I have several of the Trofast shelf units that I use in painting my studio. I usually use the plastic slide boxes (they work great) but neede a few flat shelves. These fit great and are very sturdy

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
