Weak wire, frustrating installIfeomaThis is the worst IKEA product I've purchased. To start, it includes nearly no tools except a tiny screw key. Not even screws to mount. The instructions are way too simplified, and when you finally mount the wire you'll find that it's so weak it can't support anything except the flimsiest curtains before sagging. Just frustrating. Do not buy this.1

Flexible for hanging curtains in unusual spacesKevinI wanted to install curtains to divide my bedroom from the rest of my open-layout apartment. Traditional rods weren't going to fit across the middle of a hallway, and I had some weird angles beyond that. Being able to stretch a wire across the ceiling worked wonders. Unlike several of the other reviews, I haven't had any trouble with holding up two curtains on either of the two wires I installed, and I have cats who wrestle each other across the curtains!5
For Hanging Feathers OnlyAnonymousThis is not a viable product for any kind of curtain beyond a very light linen, and they better be short, and you better not have children, or dogs, or gusts of wind, or breathe near them. There are 2 very small, very inefficient screws that use pressure to hold the wire in the metal sleeve on either end of the device. I had supports set at 42" centers and a single curtain between each support. It will not hold the weight. It would have cost an additional $2 to turn this into a loop and saddle, which is what I assumed it would be. When I saw those two little screws I knew I was about to waste a lot of time, and I was correct. Now patching the dry wall.
Returning this cheap product and spending more $$ to repair the damage left behind from installation.

So frustratedVictoriaThere is nothing on the exterior of the package which states you have to have a support in the middle for windows over 55". In addition, the instructions are impossible to follow. And no, this isn't my first Ikea rodeo. I am returning this and finding something else.1

Sags in the middleRyanSet up was a little tricky. Once I got it together it looked great. Had it going over a double window. It was great at first. Now it sags in the middle. 2
Installation ChallengingMariaLost a set of the tiny almost too small to see screws. Hoping I kind get free replacements. The set should come with extras. So easy to fall out and disappear as you are installing. Couldn't get the line taut enough.3

Many cuss words were used!ShainnaI wanted to love these, but the assembly process was a nightmare!!! I used very strong wire cutters and was still unable to keep the wire from fraying. Whatever you do, DO NOT let that little plastic piece that goes around the wire fall off!! You will never get it back on. And good luck getting the wire to stay in the arm piece. You definitely need two ppl to install in order to get the tension right. Waste of money!1

Works great but….PamWire is not 197 inches long. It’s more like 193 inches. The arms of the brackets make the total useable length 197. Now I’ve got to go caulk some holes. :(4
I've used these ten different timesNorahThese are always a clean, subtle look, if you dont like elaborate curtian rods, as I don't. These work well. They are confusing to assemble but once you get it you can repeat with all the next ones. Advice: use good drywall anchors, dont skimp or use tiny cheap ones, and put screws in all three of the mounts, I used two on a couple and it didnt hold when I hung the Sanela velvet drapes......I should have known better5
