King size bed baseMonicaI am very disappointed 😔 in this product. The base boards do not stay in place. You have to continue strengthening them . I order something similar in another store and they actually had the Velcro attached to the frame of the bed to keep it in place and that works better than this ikea product. Unfortunately this metal bed that I bought it’s set up different so can’t do anything about it. Just have to keep an eye on the frame movement. Not really happy with this setup.1
Sturdy fitDenischiaVery strong supports the mattress and lays well on middle beam5
Don’t buy these SazzadIk IKEA is affordable but these things are the worse 1
Absolutely horribleSarahI wish I could give this zero stars. The base always slips and falls out of the frame. We have tried ordering extra reinforcements and it did not help at all. SAVE YOUR MONEY and do not buy this piece of garbage.1
BedbaseMichelleEasy to use and assemble , works great .5
Most comfortableKatharinaA pleasure to look at this bed and then to sleep in it is just wonderful5
HorribleAnikaUnnecessarily annoying to put together- extremely time consuming for the quality of the final product and instructions are often incredibly unclear2
slats brokenNicolapurchased late November 24. lasted 10 months. mattress fell through. Slats constantly slide around , have to take mattress off and realign each time, which is VERY annoying. slats only held to each other with staples and a ribbon like material that has come apart. i have put crates under the bed to support the crappy frame.2
It works fineHeatherI got this to replace the one I bought 5 years ago that broke. It works fine but you have to be careful when you replace fitted sheets because it falls off easily and it’s annoying to fix4
Bed for my grand daughterJermikaI was so excited for this purchase for my 4 year old granddaughter.. but the wood part keeps coming off causing discomfort. I looked online and seen other people had this same issue… I’m really disappointed and want a refund.2
THE BEST (PLEASE READ)OliviaThis product is incredibly easy to install. I must say, when I first purchased it over 15 years ago, I realized the issue was actually on my end—I hadn’t followed all the installation steps properly. Over time, I gave the product another chance and repurchased it. By carefully following the clear directions, I had no issues at all. It’s important to note that if you don’t follow the instructions, the product may not function as intended. All hardware must be installed correctly using the components provided with the bed. If these steps aren’t followed, you may find yourself leaving a negative review—not because of the product, but due to improper installation.5
Too shortParisHorrible! They are to short and they slide. Do not buy unless you want to fall through your bed frame.1
Constantly slipping off!MeganThese suck. They constantly slip off one side and I have to take my mattress off the bed to fix them. Even then it’s hard to get them back into place. Sometimes they stay for a few weeks and sometimes they slip right back off the next time I crawl into bed. Bring back the old cheap slats. I had a set of those that worked for years never slip off.1
Needs modifications for MalmRugenI am using this with the Malm (twin) bedframe and foam mattress. It is very noisy (creaky) when you lay or sit on the bed due to the slats expanding under the weight. I solved this by buying a roll of felt with adhesive backing and taping strips to both ends of each slat. This effectively fills out the space between the end of the slats (reducing the expansion of the wood) and the metal they are laying on. Additionally you can add the same felt strips under each slat where it touches the metal for additional sound dampening.4
Slats slide aroundAnthonyEasy to break the two staples the rungs are attached with because the slats slide around. I wish IKEA added some non skid rubber to the ends, or had their warranty info easily available 2

BedframeLauraMy daughter and her dad it took a little while, but then they got it together and then you put the mattress on it and then you get the sheets and put them on in the pillows and the blankets and it feels amazing5
AmazingYoshunySo easy to install5
Slats keeps falling off VenanciaYes, slats are constantly falling off and now resulting to one of them ripping from the connector. Seriously don’t waste your money on this. 2
Nice but...NeilI like the bed and as a guest bed, I've had no issues, except one. That is the height of the bed. For tall people and older people, just too low. Ive looked for bed legs in the catalogue but keep running into non specific solutions. Any thoughts on this Ikea?3

What is layer-glued wood?

With layer-glued wood it’s possible to create flexible and extra strong constructions with curved shapes, like frames for armchairs. The secret is a technique where many layers of thin wood veneer are glued together and then pressed into the desired shape. We often use wood like birch, beech, ash and even bamboo – and strive to use the raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste. Just like solid wood, it has natural variations in structure and colour.
