Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Easy to assemble but no pre-drilled holes for shelvesShakeenaThe shelf unit was pretty easy to put together overall. The only part that tripped me up were the shelves, I tried to screw them in but realized there are no pre-drilled holes,so you need a drill bit to predrill starter holes. The shelves actually sit securely into inserts without needing screws, so you really don’t have to drill them in at all. Had I known that, I would’ve skipped trying to screw them down because it made that part harder than it needed to be. Otherwise, it’s sturdy, stylish, and I like that you can use either the black or brown side facing up.

Wobbly ManuelaI was excited to buy this piece so I could display my Legos and plants. I picked it because I could easily spray paint it. I should've assembled it first prior to painting it. I just thought since it was Ikea I wouldn't have problems, but I was wrong. Once I assembled it I realized how flimsy and wobbly it is. I'm very disappointed because I designed my living room around this particular set buy purchasing the different sizes. I don't trust it though. I'm so disappointed 😞 I can't return it since I painted it either. That's on me.
Wobbly & Half Painted?MoniqueAs a plant mom I bought this to display my collection I didn’t bother to read reviews before purchasing. Once completed it is wobbly who knows why. That black side and “brown” side the brown side is not even properly painted it looks as if you’re trying to paint over wood yourself then you see streaks of the original wood color underneath/in between the paint so not fully painted.. um is it supposed to look like that????? Good thing I’m only interested in the black because that looks ugly and bare minimum. $60 for wobbly stand and bare minimum paint is crazy.

Cute but kinda difficult to put together SenaidaThis was the perfect shelf for my boutique but it was a bit difficult to put together but did it on my own, yay! It’s beautiful.
Perfect ChevonBought this a few months ago i love it. I use it in my kids school room. We have 2 baskets on each shelf where they keep there art crafts and paper in. It a great addition to this space. Good quality. I bought it in the “as is” section so I didn’t put it together but it looks simply to assemble
ShakeyAngelaAfter fully asembling and then standing it up we decided it best to try not to put anything to heavy on it. While solid for now the design to fit the glass in made it very hard to 100% line up so ours came out a bit shakey. Pretty, but shakey.
Really Tough to Assemble BriceShelf looks great and functions well after it's put together but it was really difficult to assemble by myself. The wood shelf's are not predrilled so you have to apply a ton of pressure to get the screws in. I ended up using Bungie cords to hold the shelf in place while I added the screws. This would've been easier if I had clamps or a second person applying pressure.

The only thing I had an issue with was that the wood slabs for the top and bottom shelves did not have the premade holes. I ended up leaving it as is because I don't have an electric drill to puncture the holes with the screws.

size, Price & Quality 3 shelving unitBrendai'm over a 65 year old female, assembly was easy. Impt to lay it all out first, so i can visualize pieces with pictures! I put it together myself, excellent quality, at an excellent price! Looked all over town, for an item like this and could not find it anywhere BUT Ikea.
Entertainment SetMrs.It's a beautiful entertainment Set for my living room. I have my picture and photo album on it. It's very sturdy and easy to move around the house if needed. Only had it for about two weeks.
Nice UnitValriNice bookcase. I like that the top and bottom shelves are wood and only the center is glass - no need for me to worry about the cats if they decide to jump up on it. Fairly easy assembly once I found a video. This will probably end up in my home office. However, I took off a star because the wood shelves were not predrilled and it was extremely difficult to get the bottom shelf on. You will need a drill or electric screwdriver with drill bit to drill the holes for the screws.
