Care

The glass part is dishwasher-safe. The lid should be washed by hand.

Clean the stopper after each use and leave it to dry before next use.

The stopper should not be in constant contact with any liquid.

Carafe served Anonymous reviewerAbsolutely perfect, after purchasing the smaller carafe, I went and purchased the larger carafe, mainly wanted this for serving wine which holds well and can be chilled in the fridge, maybe use a plastic lid if storing in the fridge and wiping the carafe preventing the cork lid from mould, as some reviewers have mentioned, a nice design and good size for my needs, pleased.5

Practical carafe Anonymous reviewerCarafe was correct in both size and needs, a nice shape with a cork lid to complement it, taking into consideration other reviews about the cork lid turning to mould, I purchased this carafe on the account of it being handy during the night as one’s mouth gets dry, drinking water by the bedside made efficient, with the cork lid, wiping the bottle and making sure it isn’t wet, can prevent the cork lid going to mould, if stored in the fridge maybe use a plastic lid.5

What is cork?

Cork comes from cork oak bark which is carefully cut from the tree’s trunk. It then takes about nine years until the tree forms new bark that can be harvested. Since a cork oak can live to be aged 150-200, each one produces a lot of cork during its lifetime. Cork has several good qualities as a material: it’s lightweight, flexible, waterproof and naturally resists fire. We use it in furniture and accessories.
