Uncomfortable Anonymous reviewerNot pleasant to sit in. The chair design has a steel tube frame part of which at the front is a hard ridge under your legs and is quite painful. Will be returning.

UncomfortableAnonymous reviewerI`ve been buying furniture from IKEA for about 30 years and I`ve never had any real complaint about the products. Unfortunately on this occasion I`ve given this chair 2 stars because it`s very uncomfortable to sit on. I feel I`m sitting in it rather than on it which is a pity as I do like the style of the chair. One major problem for me is the seat cushion and the front metal bar of the frame. You can feel the bar against the back of the legs and it is very uncomfortable especially if you sit for any length of time. I`ve used an IKEA Justine seat cushion to try and make it more comfortable but it is not a solution for proper padding over the metal frame.

Bad design and tubing Anonymous reviewerSadly this is the most painful chair I have ever sat on. Like the Poang, the frame digs into my back. And when I added a cushion to raise my back above the pain, the tubular frame puts pressure against my skull and the result is painful headaches. Bad ergonomics and bad material choice. I'm average 5 foot 9. Perhaps I'm not suited to this chair... whatever, like the Poang, it's going straight into the bin. I love IKEA Strandmon which is the most comfortable chair ever. Sadly pello and Poang are most painful experiences ever.
DisaapointedAnonymous reviewerI`m disappointed in the Pello armchair I received, from the pictures on the website the back of the armchair looked solid wood but it`s just a piece of fabric stretched over a metal frame, with no transversal back support whatsoever.
I`ve had a Poang armchair for the past 10 years and it was a better armchair, I should have bought the same one.
Not happy with the Pello.

Washable label is wrongAnonymous reviewerI've loved this chair, use it in the bedroom, mainly for draping clothes over! Decided the cover was looking a bit grubby and unzipped it to find a care label saying I could wash at 60C. I removed the foam and washed the cover at 40C but it's a disaster as the whole cover is streaked with dark yellow. Totally unusable and I'm very upset. Can one buy the covers separately?
