Terrible decisionAnonymous reviewerThis bed looks great but it is really cheap for a reason. It creaks constantly, every time my daughter turns over or even breathes it creaks. Tried tightening everything, adding extra support but nothing helps. We need to buy another bed, huge waste of money!1
Great bed - after modificationsAnonymous reviewerWhen building it's obvious this has been designed as a mid-sleeper and having the bed on the bottom is an after thought and originally unintended feature.
There are no instructions for having the ladder ( or the extra vertical bar) on the left of the bed so you have to work it out yourself which will be easier for some rather than others. There is a gap in the bottom side where the ladder is - there is nothing to stop a child crawling under the bed and getting stuck so we needed this side against the wall.
The biggest issue we had, however, was the height of the top bars. They have been made to set the height of the mid-sleeper but are far too low to use the bed comfortably on the bottom. My son has hit his head multiple times getting into bed on the bar and I have to duck under it to sit on his bed. We've returned the Kura bed tent we intended to use as I've had to remove this bar.
Despite all the above this is a solidly made bed, no less sturdy after removing a top bar. 4
Excellent for my needsAnonymous reviewerNeeded a bed to fit over an awkward stairs. Needed 2 to build but easy to adapt to the situation I had. 4
Wish I got it sooner!Anonymous reviewerI've just got this for my Son's new room, at 10 > I wish I'd got something like this sooner. He loves it, only negative would be he has bumped his knees a few times on the steps/sides, it could be alot smoother or have rubber guards to prevent scrapes but other than that it is the perfect size and height (mid) for his room, with plenty space underneath, would be perfect in white, regardless I would highly recommend!4
Kura bedAnonymous reviewerNo problem to assemble. We have it as a high bed with a den underneath.
My granddaughter loves it.
I would like to purchase the curtain hooks that they have used on their display model in store, but they do not sell them separate.5
Lovely bedsAnonymous reviewerWe’ve had these for a couple of years now and they are brilliant! So sturdy and strong. My children have them like a cabin bed and can store the kallax unit underneath lovely for some storage space. 100% recommend! 5
Good productAnonymous reviewerThe bed is really nice though is not entirely straight even when completely tightened.5
IdealAnonymous reviewerPerfect bed, was easy to put up ( well my husband did it but he did it in his own so must of been!) good size and a nice lot of room underneath so good for the box rooms. 5
Kura Hack Anonymous reviewerWe’ve had these beds for 3 years now - since our twins were 3. Now 6, they needed more space in their bedroom and so we modified and put both the beds together to make a bunk bed and it’s turned out amazing! Done at our own risk and is not recommend by ikea but we’ve added additional screws and wood and have secured it so it’s pretty solid. 4
One of my best purchases Anonymous reviewerExcellent sturdy bed, the additions you can purchase with it make it a little kids dream5
Kura bunk bed for 6 year old Anonymous reviewerBought this for 6 year old, he wanted a den & this proved perfect. It’s not as tall as standard bunk beds which is good & plenty of space to play underneath, was assembled by my 18 yr old granddaughter & she did brilliantly following the instructions. Took a couple of hours but the end result is a sturdy bed that I hope will last him a few years.5
Great product and priceAnonymous reviewerGreat product and price5
Parts shown in the userAnonymous reviewerParts shown in the user manual were not available. Installation was simple but took a lot of time due to incompatibility of parts.2
Excellent kids bedAnonymous reviewerIt was easy to put up and feels very sturdy. My kid loves it. The only problem I have is the slats sit a bit too high and the mattress slides around as there is a very small lip above the slats.4
Great bedAnonymous reviewerVery sturdy bed, took about an Hour to put together, I always use an impact gun with torque set low as there is always lots of bolts and screws.5
Good bed however noisy!!Anonymous reviewerVery easy bed to put together, actually probably the easiest bed I have ever put together. Looks very nice when up both ways! However the side panels rattle so bad its kind of unbearable! as a cabin bed and normal bed if you so much as move a muscle it rattles very badly! I may have to glue them in to fix this issue as my child wont sleep in the bed as its too noisy whenever he moves!3
Great product, we use itAnonymous reviewerGreat product, we use it as a top bed and toy/play area underneath with the tent
Son loves it5
Was very easy to install,Anonymous reviewerWas very easy to install, my husband and I fixed it in under 2 hours. I used it as a floor bed which my son loves and it’s easy for my husband and myself to get in and out of when we need to stay with him. We will layer on use it as a bunk bed for when he has friends over5
Best value den/sensory/calm nook forAnonymous reviewerBest value den/sensory/calm nook for a budding toddler! Built in 90mins with a drill. Brings adventure into the room!5
Great Bed to create more space!!Anonymous reviewerWe brought this bed to create more playing space for our 7 year old. We built in a few hours, instructions were confusing in places but overall easy enough. When flipping the bed (we have this as a mid sleeper) the top ladder step split slightly. I also found this bed to be a bit wobbly. We are thinking of anchoring it to the wall to stabilise it a bit more but the wobbling doesn’t seem to bother my son and now there are toys stored under it feels slightly more stable than before.4
