CloudbustingAnonymous reviewerBought this on a whim because I was bored with my drum shade. For £12 it's a no brainer even if it's just for a change. Very easy to assemble the plastic cone will be the housing for the bulb so it sits on what becomes the underside. The fun comes with crumpling the paper and suggesting forms for interesting light play. The paper is very nice and fairly thick so not as insubstantial as it may look. You need a reducing ring as the hole which would sit on the bulb holder is larger - Ikea sells these but easy to find online too. Fab if you fancy a more arty feel to thie room !!

Cannot be used without reducerAnonymous reviewerAfter years and years of being on UK market and knowing about the lack of compatibility between continental Europe products and UK ones, Ikea still doesn't feel the need to put a simple note about it - if used with UK pendants will require a lamp shade reducer!

I did not realise that you had to crush the shade into shape I thought it was material & not paper. Not a shade I would recommend & had to buy a plate insert as it does not fit a standard UK filament holder. Disappointed on this one so be aware if buying
