    Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Only issue we had was securing it to the wall which we had to do as our floors are a bit uneven. The screw supplied was way too big for the strap provided with a hole pre-drilled. Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

"When I designed FABRIKÖR glass-door cabinet I was inspired by industrial furniture from the early 20th century, especially the so-called medical cabinets, where medicine and medical supplies were kept. It’s a piece of furniture that’s robust, sturdy and breathes quality – and its soft, rounded corners also make it beautiful. Since the cabinet has glass on all sides, it's perfect for displaying your favourite things. It works just as well as a glass-door cabinet in the living room as for storing beautiful handbags or jewellry in the bedroom."
