Classic Swedish meatballs & cream sauce

Swedish comfort food means meatballs with mash, green peas, cream sauce, and lingonberry jam. This hearty and time-saving dish is a fuss-free option for an everyday family dinner.

Ingredients:

Swedish meatballs & cream sauce
12.7 oz  (ca 24) HUVUDROLL meatballs
1 pkg ALLEMANSRÄTTEN mashed potatoes
1 pkg ALLEMANSRÄTTEN mix for cream sauce 4 tbsp SYLT LINGON lingonberry jam
2-4 tbsp milk or water for the mashed potatoes
1 1/4 cups water for the cream sauce
1/5 cup cream for the cream sauce
7 oz green peas, frozen

Step by step:

  1. Place the frozen peas in a bowl and cover them with lukewarm water.
  2. Prepare meatballs, mashed potatoes and cream sauce according to package instructions.
  3. Drain the peas and serve them in the bowl.
  4. Serve the meatballs together with mashed potatoes, cream sauce, green peas and lingonberry jam.
  5. Tip! For a vegetarian option, you can use plant balls instead of meatballs.
