Under the sink is a sound-absorbing material which reduces resonances in the metal when using the sink, thus lowering the sound level.

Bottom is too flatHilaryNice sink, quality seems good. However, the bottom of the sink doesn’t have enough angle to the drain, so shallow water pools on the bottom rather than completely draining. You have to completely wipe it dry every time you use the sink to avoid pools of water that don’t go away. 3
