Open Walk-Through Closet UseAnonymous reviewerI’m using the BOXAL shelves as open shelving in a walk-through closet, and they work extremely well for that purpose. The clean, minimal design keeps the space feeling open rather than boxed-in, which is especially important in a pass-through layout.
The shelves are easy to install and flexible to adjust, making it simple to customise spacing for folded clothes, bags, and everyday accessories. Once installed, they feel stable for light to moderate loads and maintain a tidy, intentional look.
Because everything is visible, the neutral finish really helps—nothing feels visually heavy or cluttered. These shelves aren’t meant for very heavy items, but for clothing storage they’re exactly right.

Good Steel ShelfGregThis is a nice sturdy shelf and the price is good for something made of steel. If you have it shipped to your home, make sure to look it over carefully because the IKEA stores don't package them well inside the shipping carton and the corners get damaged.
Metal only good for LOW shelves…KamilThese look clean an minimal from above, but if you put them up high (like in most closets) and only see the bottom, they look clunky and unfinished. Use the board or wire shelves instead. Return.
NOT easy to install at all, poor quality DaraI deeply regret buying this. What a waste of money. It's extremely difficult to install and then the components do not fit together easily at all. I cannot get these shelfs to attach to the brackets at all. Metal parts fall off the shelf, one hook will attach and the then the shelf knocks the bracket off the upright. Buying this was a very expensive mistake as now I will have to tear it out of the closet. along with the drywall, pay someone to replace the drywall. All the Boaxel components will have to go in the trash. Then I'll have to locate and purchase a closet sytem that isn't a cheap piece of rubbish.
