Best fridge I have ever ownedJenniferSleek design. Silent! Easy to clean/maintain inside and out. Love bottom freezer. Large capacity and easy pull door and drawer. Fridge interior is well lit with very deep, adjustable, see through door balconies. Each shelf level is slightly cooler top to bottom which allows for foods to be kept at appropriate temperatures. Easy to see everything in fridge all at once. No more hidden, long forgotten surprises. Vegetable drawers slide easily and are of adequate size. I saw other reviews complaining of a need for an additional door balcony but I have not found that necessary. Also the fridge ran extremely hot - too hot to comfortably touch the sidewalls- for the first 2 days. One prompt tech visit to examine it explained this is normal and would self adjust. It did. Since then it has run cool. And so quiet. Absolutely love this appliance.5
We love ValMsHad to replace Kelvin, our 1984 Kelvinator, when he finally gave out. We were looking for a basic refrigerator and Val fit the bill. About the same capacity in a smaller footprint and probably more energy efficient. The only complaint would be the color. Unfortunately, no color choices, just stainless. I prefer white; I wish IKEA would offer white appliance options. Stainless looks too industrial and shows EVERY fingerprint.5

Good visibility of interior including the bottom freezer spaces. The Valgrundad refrigerator is the perfect size. I can easily see the contents so nothing has gone bad since installation. I did not however appreciate the way I was treated by Ikea customer service regarding delivery of this same refrigerator. I was told it would arrive on a certain date with a time frame. This was adjusted and updated. It was all bogus! I called several times and got all kinds of stories that were NOT true! Meanwhile I had the old one taken out to the dump in preparation for the new arrival which never showed up for another 8 days! I lost food. I lost frozen goods. Barely an afterthought I was. They offered me $15 credit on whatever. Unbelievable. After putting 5 Ikea kitchens in over the years I would have never expected such poor service. The delivery company was wonderful. They called and were truthful. 5

Great size for small spaceHeidiI choose a bottom freezer to protect the rest of the food from liquid from the freezer if it ever stops working. I don't miss an icemaker. Ice stays fresher than in a normal fridge. It would be great if there were suspended ice cube trays across the front of either freezer drawer. [you need to ensure the upper freezer tray is pushed closed so it doesn't prevent the door from closing completely]4
Bottom Freezer Fridge is Fantastic!AlyssaI needed a bottom freezer fridge so I can access the fridge without crouching/kneeling. This was the only bottom freezer that fit my space. Even though it's smaller than my previous fridge, it holds more due to better design. I love the shelves and "door balconies". It's very quiet, a nice surprise. Some noises on occasion. It does come all in one piece, you can reverse the door as needed. The produce drawers could slide a bit better but nothing major. Also, if you're wondering like I did, the type of stainless steel used is magnetic! I recommend this fridge, which if you're concerned about quality, it's manufactured by Whirlpool. I love my new fridge!5
Only thing we could find…LaurieHad for a few months and working fine so far. The metal front came with minor waves/dents and there is no excuse for that. Interior is all cheap plastic and feels like it will all crack if not careful. Couldn’t find another small bottom freezer during the pandemic. Lack of available delivery with installation and removal a major hassle.4

The warranty service claims the sound is normal. I've paid attention to friends' fridges and every single one is dead silent. It's definitely not normal for a new fridge to make such a sound.1
