Great Cutting Board Storage- Extra counter spaceEllenI love this pull out work surface so much! I keep my main cutting board flat on top (as shown) tucked out of sight in the drawer. It is so much more convenient than having a lower cabinet space for cutting boards. I have used the pull out surface for chopping, and it is great, but I use it mainly for out of sight storage. I also use it as a flat space to lay out a printed recipe that I can reference while cooking or assembling a meal. It is easy to glance at and out of the way. I am going to add a few more in lower cabinets with a fitted liner for gripping to stack cookie sheets, casserole dishes that really don't need a side wall. They are quite sturdy.
Perfect! Able to store & use appliances on it. Modified to fit 18” cabinet as well!CarmenWhile this work area slide fits a 24” wide cabinet, it can easily be modified to fit narrower cabinets too! You just have to trim the width of the mdf board and the metal bar, and pre drill the fastener holes to accommodate the new width. On the unfinished mdf side a melamine band can be ironed on, achieving a finished look. I was able to install these in a high cabinet and store and use the appliances while on it (coffee machine & toaster oven), freeing countertop space. ;). You only need a built in outlet in the cabinet.
