Works well, even in unconventional positionPeterI used a 40" Ikea wall cabinet on its side to create a cabinet over a built-in refrigerator. I put in a vertical divider in the middle of the now-horizontal cabinet for support and for various reasons I put one hinge on the vertical divider and the other on the cabinet side. This meant one of the hinges would be in the middle instead of the side. But the door template is designed to attach the hinge to side of the door. and has "ears" to line up with the side of the door. So after using the template to put holes on one side of the door, I flattened the ears on one side of the template to allow it to lay flat, and then lined it up with the hinge that was installed on the vertical divider to put the holes in line with the hinge. After I got it adjusted, it works great; the door opens just enough not to bang on the ceiling, and closes securely. My install is not how Ikea intended it to work, but it works perfectly. 5
