Back cushions have issuesKimberlyI have an Uppland chair and ottoman that I love so when I recently moved I decided to purchase the sofa. Easy to put together (note the box it comes in will require a pickup truck or large SUV to move), the Hakebo dark gray is a lovey cover, but the back cushions never expanded properly. It has been a week and they are not right. If I did not already own the chair it may have not been as noticeable. I went back tot the store to look at the display models and my concerns were affirmed (store display cushions are more full). After reading reviews I see others had the same issue. I have only had the couch a week (without the back cushions on it) and it will be going back if I can't get the back cushions addressed / replaced.
Perfect for my 3 person apartmentScarlettI searched all over the internet for a couch that was affordable, could fit into my space, could seat 3 girls comfortably, and was comfy enough that a guest could sleep on. This one ended up being perfect for us. We got it on sale, which helped as well, but seriously love this couch. It's been 2 months now and it looks and feels great
Not as comfortableRichardThis is the second couch I’ve gotten from IKEA and this one is not as comfortable as the first. I thought that I had purchased the same model having liked the first one so much. The cushions are so stiff and hard. The seat cushions do seem to be softening up a little bit with use, so I’m still hoping that they will get more comfortable but I’m not confident that they will.
The fit and assembly were all great and as expected. No other issues.
Comfortable, attractiveSandyMy concern are the severe deep creases/wrinkles on the skirt. It doesn’t look good at all. I was told those would go away or use a steamer ! I don’t own a steamer.

Uppland SofaKevenBought this to replace an Ektorp Sofa. The Uppland is far too deep . Meaning we actually have to add some throw pillows to be comfortable not lying down. I think it should be available with shorter legs also as at 5'8" it's difficult to put feet on the floor without moving forward. We wish the Ektorp were still available. It was comfortable and took up slightly less room.
Please bring back the Ektorp.
Very uncomfortable, not at all feels like the in-store display!AlexanderWe went to our local IKEA and sat on various sofas to find the right one and the Uppland sofa was the most comfortable in the store, super soft and cushiony. So we bought it and had it delivered. Once put together it was not at all like what we experienced in the store! The cushions are super firm and stiff and makes your neck and back hurt because the sitting angle is wonky. We're super disappointed because we even sat on the couch ahead of time.
Attractive, but uncomfortable TonyThis couch was advertised to be “super soft”, however, I can say without a doubt that this is the hardest and most uncomfortable couch I have ever sat on. It looks good, but even then the cover won’t become unwrinkled after a week.
love my found sofaKimberlyI literally found this sofa on the side of the road and it has been great. I was going to buy a new Upland in light beige but when I read the reviews I saw that feathers no longer were part of the cushion and the fabric wasn't cotton
anymore but now 100% polyester. Sadly, I won't make this purchase unless there is a return to the prior specifications.
Almost PerfectLorettaThis couch is the perfect size, color, and price. It was easy to put together. Having just moved and living in a high humidity climate, I let the fabric wrinkles work themselves out over time rather than ironing. The couch looks really good in our room (sorry, no pics as we are still "moving messy". I would definitely buy this again although I would prefer it be just a bit more cushy.

I hate this couch!AnneThis couch is not as promised. it's super hard (advertised as very soft) and it smells horrible. the cushions are way too large for the sofa and for the covers making it impossible to come together properly. I regret this purchase
Liked it so much we bought a second one.RichardAfter replacing an old sofa in our winter home, we decided to replace one in our summer home. Love the idea of replaceable covers, get dirty, wash them, sick of the color get a new cover. Brilliant Ikea!

Speaking from experience- it’s not the same!!SallyWe have purchased 3 Ektorp items: a sectional, sofa and 2 chairs and I presently own and am using right now an Uppland Sofa and loveseat, so when we ordered one for our cottage we thought we knew what we were getting- but oh were we wrong!! The one I received this week is nothing like what we have had approximately 2 years, and especially from the years prior with Ektorp. The back couch cushions on the new couch only expanded maybe 2 inches and I can literally fold over the covers from all the area that did not get filled. The cushions are thin and cheap- so different from what we have in our Sunroom now. They have cheapened this product to almost nothing. So disappointed in what we received! The bottom cushions are overfilled to where our feet do not touch the floor when sitting against the thin back cushions.Now we will need to drive almost 3 hours to return them!! I will never purchase another one.

A pretty great sofa for MDF materialsAmyI am very impress IKEA, from packaging, to delivering. I don't know why reviews are low on this sofa. If the couch is to last 10 years, it should be firm. I thought it was going to be firm from all the other reviews but it is not. The sofa is firm, has a good bounce to it, and all the cushion makes it comfy. I purchased a lot of cabinets and storage stuff from everywhere before with MDF materials and IKEA has some very good quality MDF. Other MDF materials is not rounded off. You can see some particles sticking out and screws messing them up. With IKEA, I did not see any of that. Putting together was a breeze. It probably takes around 15 to 20 minutes. It really is a simple design. Kind of hard to put the washer and nut on for the back screw but I found an easy way. I use the nut first, thread into the screw. That way it can bring the cushion in more. Then take the nut off again, add the washer and screw. That helped. Overall I am very happy and will buy more stuff from IKEA again.
A bit too firmShelleyI like the sofa in general but it is a little too firm. I also don’t like that the slip covered cushions are not covered all the way around so you can flip the cushions, like you used to be able to with the Ektorp series.
Great sofaMHakebo green, covers fit perfectly, firm but supportive and comfortable cushions, best sofa out of all that I tried in the showroom. The Hakebo fabric is the softest, most luxurious out of the rest that they have.
