Nice sectional - but Hakebo Gray covers are too smallAnonymousFirst, I want to say that I like Ikea couches. I have an Ektorp sectional in the basement and an Uppland love seat in our front room. We just purchased the Uppland sectional in Hakebo gray for the family room. It’s a great couch. However, the Hakebo gray covers are way too small. I think I read about this when I purchased the love seat last year - but forgot about those reviews. The love seat we have is Hakebo green and it fits really nice. Even our old Ektorp covers go on nicely with no struggle. But the covers with this sectional are horrible. It took three people to put on and zip up some of the seat cushions and they are ready to burst at the seams. One did start ripping near the zipper. They are defective and too small. I may buy the Hakebo green for this sectional as I know that color fits nicely - but then I have to repaint my family room because it will clash so I’m torn. I’ll reach out to Ikea about getting a replacement covers. But want to warn others about Hakebo gray.3
Do not buy. The cover is scratchy (100% polyester) and difficult to put on. It’s uncomfortable.ElizabethDo not buy this couch. I have two other ikea couches that I love, but ikea changed the material to 100% polyester. The cover is scratchy and difficult to put on and remove. The couch covers on the cushions puckered. It came with pilling and loose threads before we even put it on the couch. The cushions are stiff and uncomfortable even though it is advertised as soft.1
Cushions are not soft KunchokThe sofa is pretty but the cushions are rock hard despite the website stating extra soft. Its really uncomfortable and doesnt feel good when sitting down. 2
MixedLaurieI spent so many hours researching a couch and am disappointed. Our couch looks nothing like these pictures, the seams are very visible, and it squeaks. 3
Beautiful sofaMelissaI love this sofa! It has springy seat cushions, durable fabric, and feels solid. The Kilanda fabric is a warm beige that has lightened up my living space dramatically. It sits up higher and is deeper sitting making it great for tall people. While I still need to steam it to remove wrinkles, it still looks beautiful without feeling stiff. Great purchase, especially if you are tall.5
Very Comfortable!TrudieThis is a VERY comfortable couch. It actually saves space in our living room. Would definitely recommend! Great value5
Love this sectional!LeslieThis sectional is really great. It’s very comfortable. My husband and I had to have help to unbox it and put it together, we’re in our 70’s so it was too hard for us to do alone. I have not had to wash the covers yet. I’m not looking forward to it because that also takes some muscle to do. Overall I would highly recommend this sectional.5
Nice!DianeThis is a nice sofa. However, the cushions are quite hard and lumpy!4
Bulky Ugly ColorCharlotteDid not like it was supper bulky really ugly color2
Sturdy and comfortable ClaudiaLove my new Uppland sectional! Easy to assemble, very comfortable, and the cushions have the perfect balance of firmness and comfort.5
Best couch I’ve ever hadEmilyI’ve had this for 4 years and it’s so incredibly comfortable. It’s kept its shape completely and the structure of it remains in like new condition.
It’s really such a wonderful couch. I have to move and can’t bring it with me and I already know I’ll be purchasing a new one as soon as I’m able to.5
Great sofaRonnieWe have now had this sofa for four years. It has held up very well easy to spot clean still very, very comfortable and I have absolutely no regrets!5
Uppland 4 seat sectional is an excellent buy.SGreat purchase. Needed a larger couch. I previously had the Ecktorp and really liked it. The Uppland is an upgrade. Fits nicely in my space and is very comfortable. I have several pets in the house and the fabric has been easy to keep clean. Assembly was fairly easy. Would purchase again.5
Well made, looks greatBrendaLove that it sits up higher than low couches5
Love this couchNastassiaI have a toddler and I've had this couch for almost 4 years. It's durable and the covers are washable which is a must with a kid. It's comfortable and is great for any space. I get many compliments for this couch. It was a great purchase5
Comfy and easy to cleanKirstenI love this couch so much! It is so comfortable and supportive. We got the white and it is so easy to spot clean if you don’t want to remove everything to wash every single time, but that works super well too. 5
Fantastic CouchAnonymous reviewerI bought an earlier version of this couch over 20 years ago and it lasted that long- it has improved since then. I searched and searched for another equivalent slipcovered couch and could not find one that beat it. I love this couch and it is fantastic. It also has not gone up that much in price in 20 years. We got the rust one and really don't understand how anyone would not like it- nothing really compares to it with the slipcovers, which are essential in our household with cats. Love being able to wash everything whenever we need to. What do other people do, just have a crappy stained couch? Not with this one!!! Love it. Thanks Ikea.5
Love This Couch!BrittanyWe are old loyal fans of the Ektorp series and made the mistake long ago of selling our Ektorp. We've bought and returned multiple couches from other major retailers in the time since. Nothing had been right, so we turned back to IKEA. I was a little nervous because some of the Uppland reviews aren't great, but I'm so very glad we did it. We're finally happy, finally comfortable in our living room. Assembly was pretty fast and easy with two people. The hardest part is getting the cushion covers on! We are so impressed at the quality and how well everything fit. Yes, the cushions are big and take a little breaking in so they're a tight fit at first, but they break in nicely even just in a month. I couldn't be happier with our purchase of sectional and ottoman. 5
NOT Worth The MoneyEricaThis couch is not comfortable, it is very stiff. Additionally, one of the back cushions didn't expand all the way leaving unsightly gaps. In order to return we would need to completely disassemble, re-package, and pay $39 to have them come pick it back up. We spent over $1500 on this sectional and they didn't even offer to replace the back cushions that didn't expand all the way... we are so disappointed. No one wants to sit on it and we're out over $1500.2
Low quality and not very comfortableElizabethThis couch feels very comfortable and fancy in the show room. But when it arrives you see it's made out of low quality materials. The seam is coming apart on one cushion after 3 days, stuffing is coming out. The back cushions have fully inflated, but they aren't as sturdy as they felt in the showroom. The back cushions don't have a zipper, so you can't add stuffing. I would return this, but it's honestly too much effort. When buying the 3 piece sectional + ottoman + covers + shipping, it's really not a budget couch, and I had expected higher quality. I wouldn't recommend it. 2
