Perfect for Apartment OctavioIts a firm couch but its perfect for laying down. I can also lay cups/ dishes while I'm doing homework and they don't topple. Looks daunting to install because it's 2 huge boxes but it only took me an hour for everything. I do wish the sofa cover came with instructions. The chaise cover was weird to make sense of. 5
Comfort RobertPerfect for a NYC apartment. It comes in boxes so it’s easy to move. Just make sure you buy the 100% cotton covers.5
great colors, awful texturesSarathe design of these covers is great: it's very easy to slip on and secure. i love that there's a separate piece for the body of the couch and each cushion - it looks so much nicer than the single-piece drape-style couch covers.
i LOVE the color of the hillared anthracite... but the texture is AWFUL. it's like sandpaper! the skin on my elbow starts to hurt after resting it on the couch arm for a few minutes.
i don't understand why there aren't more blekinge covers in colors other than white. i'd love to buy more covers from ikea, but if i can't get both the colors and textures i want, then i'll have to buy from third party sellers which really stinks.2
Love it! VivianeIt is very comfortable, my husband and I put it together less than a hour. My dogs love it too 5
Replacement cover for Ektorp chaiseChristinaI couldn't find a cover for my Ektorp chaise that actually fit anywhere online so out of pure desperation I bought this one. It's a bit big but may shrink when I wash it, which would be fine. Right now it makes my couch look a little sloppy, like an oversized sweater, but not so bad that I'd be embarrassed to have people over. It's cotton so it's very comfortable. I may buy another one just to have one to swap out when I do laundry. I do love the IKEA cotton couch covers! 5
UPPLAND Couch CoverClaudiaDelivery was quick!
Easy to put on. Took less then ten min. Only complaint wish the color was darker more black then a dark slate color5
White is best for comfort, unfortunately!LeslieWe just got an Uppland sofa with the chaise. We are all enamored with it!!! My one problem is the cover options. We tried them all in-store and the white was the only one we could tolerate, comfort-wise. I would have much preferred something darker like a beige or gray, but the weird new waffle-like weave of those fabrics does not work for us one bit. I just looked up the fabric content online and was shocked to learn that there's cotton in the less comfy colors, and no cotton in the white. I MUCH prefer cotton, most of the time in life, but whatever is going on with the weave of the darker colors cannot work for us. Too scratchy! I am hoping they change back to the more canvas/denim feel once this batch of the waffle weaves is done. I LOVE THIS SOFA, but I am constantly wiping and covering the white slipcover because it's so impractical. I know I can wash it, but not every week! It's just hands-down the best for comfort of the Uppland options.5
UpplandAnneIKEA replaced an old version with the Uppland. The quality is not nearly as good. The arm rest broke within 6 months. So now I have a half broken couch.2
BewareGenevaBeware of washing the white cover with tide. I followed the instructions on how to clean the cushions to a t and they bleached out just with just tide. Customer service would not send a new cushion cover for the one that was ruined. The cushions on this version arent able to be flipped which is a change from the old version.3
Mixed feelings about this sofaDoraI love the look of this sofa, I waited for it to come back in stock. I love the white slipcover look and this was the most affordable one on the market. I was so excited to finally get it. The sofa frame was easy to put together. BUT, the slipcovers are disappointing. The covers are soooo tight and hard to get on the seat cushions. And the stitching seems off so that no matter how many times I try to readjust the cushion in the cover it looks lopsided and uneven. I don’t like that the chaise seat cushion cover is attached to the skirt of the ottoman rather than separate covers for the base of the ottoman and the seat cushion. Makes it really difficult to adjust and get on. And another big downside is that the seat cushions are not the same fabric on both sides of the cushion so you can’t flip the cushions over or flip the covers over. There is clearly only one side of the fabric cover that is able to be visible. The covers were so tight it took two people struggling to stuff the cushions in. Part of the appeal of the slipcover sofa was that I could wash the covers when needed. Well, I don’t know how I am ever going to be able to wash these covers and get them back on again. If they shrink even a tiny bit then I will never be able to get them back on again, they are already too tight. So I have mixed feelings about this sofa. I LOVE the look and how easy the frame was to put together. But I hate the way the slipcovers were designed and how they fit. I will probably splurge at some point in the future to have replacement slipcovers made that will fit better. So what started as an affordable sofa will end up costing me more in the long run than if I’d just splurged on a higher end sofa to start with.3
