Pretty, but somewhat fragile…KristinI love the look of these dishes. They’re just what I was looking for. However, they are easily chipped. My boys are not super gentle with dishes, which is why I didn’t want to spend a ton of money. I didn’t expect them to be quite so fragile, though. Thankfully, IKEA began selling the individual plates outside of the set, so I’ve been able to replace the ones that were broken or chipped. 4

Great PlatesTaniaAfter looking at a million plates, I finally decided to purchase the 18 piece set for a Christmas dinner. I also added the serving plate and bowl with it. The set is very pretty and what drew me in was the soft ruffled edge around the plate. It can give the table either an elegant or rustic look. Wish IKEA had that option to upload a picture of the way my dining room looked with the plates.5

Material

Good at resisting knocks

Feldspar porcelain resists knocks and impact better than most other ceramics. That's why products in feldspar porcelain can be made thinner than those in stoneware or earthenware. This means that they are both light, hardwearing and dishwasher-safe. A useful combination.

My idea when I designed the series was to make it fun and inspiring to set the table – and of course make food look even tastier on the serving dishes and in the bowls."
