The bins dont always fit wellAmandaEasy enough to assemble, solid wood construction but one third of the sliding tracks do not fit with the bins. The bins keep falling off. I wish I could attach a picture, you can see that its too big for the bins to rest on.
Tubs do not stay in groovesTaylorThe tubs get out of the rails/grooves all the time and kiddos are frustrated trying to pull them in and out. Nothing heavy inside, nor over-filled, they just have stuffed animals and dress up clothes

Popular for a reason--also a popular problemAnonymousIt's a well known fact that people love the Trofast. I'm not sure about these reviews saying people couldn't build it--fortunately I had no problems with assembly. But I am concerned that every Trofast I have ever seen will absolutely not hold the drawers in! It's not a matter of weight, some have almost zero weight, they fall out of the tracks CONSTANTLY. Still love the look and function of Trofast so we'll definitely keep it, but we're going to have to install more wood under the tracks to hopefully solve the problem, but IKEA, could we please work on this?
VERY DISAPPOINTED AllisonI should have listened to the reviews!! The holes do not line up with where you need to put the screws so it is impossible to put together!!! Not sure how they are able to sell an item that is defective like this. Really annoyed I have to take the time to go return this

HORRIBLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS!GlendaI bought this product for my daycare, and it was delivered today. I tried to assemble it right away and it was a horrible experience. The holes do not align properly, which made it extremely frustrating and almost impossible to put together correctly. This is very disappointing, especially since I needed it for a childcare setting. I will be returning it this weekend. If you want to save yourself a bad experience and a lot of frustration, I would not recommend purchasing this item.
Crack on woodMaiAs I was assembling this beautiful storage bin, I noticed a crack on one of the wood sides. It was quite noticeable, not sure if it was from packaging or shipping but I was so disappointed.
Very difficult for kids to put back bins without helpLindsayI've had this for a year now and the bins fall down. I love the look of the natural with white bins, but I was quickly disappointed to find the bins fall down or half of the bin goes in the track and the other half falls. It's very hard for children to clean up and I'm constantly having to fix them. Please make new bins to fit the current system.
Very difficult to assemble – poorly designed hardwarePei-LunBe aware when buying this storage combination: it is extremely difficult to assemble. The unit is very heavy, and even when you follow the instructions carefully, installation is frustrating. In many steps you have to rotate or lift large, heavy panels just to tighten a single screw.
The screws themselves are poorly designed. When tightening them, they often push the wood panels out of alignment, forcing you to unscrew and try again. This happens in many places throughout the build, which makes the process slow and stressful.
The edge pieces also don’t fit well. You have to push very hard to get them to line up and connect properly, which makes you worry about damaging the panels.
Overall, this product is much harder to assemble than it should be, and I agree with other reviewers who warned about the difficulty.
Truly terribleBrianThe peg holes do not line up. I got so fed up I decided to skip the pegs that don’t line up and move on to the screws figuring it’ll Be stable enough. To no surprise at all, the screws also do not line up. Absurdly horrible. I am bringing it back this week and will be building the new one IN the warehouse. If it doesn’t work, I’ll just keep building until I find one that does line up
Ignore bad reviews - Great piece SergioAfter reading several bad reviews I was hesitant to buy it but I am glad I ignored them. This thing is great, super sturdy and well built. My conclusion is that those who left a bad review are the same people who have leftover pieces after finishing and think IKEA sends extras lol. I did however, go with the pine version because after inspecting both in store, the rails on the engineered wood one do look flimsy. The pine version is super solid, overall great buy.
GarbageBriannaAbsolutely shameful this is still being sold. Not a single hole lines up for assembly, they’re a whole inch, or more, off. And support team wants you to package it back up (impossible because the box is glued together, not taped so you have to destroy the box to get it out) and then bring it to a store - there isn’t a store near me, hence ordering it online. Don’t waste your money on something you won’t even be able to put together.
Not as great as it seems.RobynI really wanted a good storage system for toys however this was a flop. I purchased two Trofast storage systems with the white plastic bins, neither one is able to keep the bins in the track. Bins are constantly slipping off. They are not overfilled at all they just don’t work that great.
Happy With Purchase!JaneI was really nervous to buy this product because of all of the bad reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that we had no issues putting this item together. I'm not sure where all of the bad reviews are coming from unless they've updated the product since those reviews (although I just saw a one star review posted yesterday). We didn't have to drill any pilot holes ourselves, all of the pieces lined up just fine, and the instructions were pretty straight forward. All of the bins slide in an out nicely as well (not sure if we'll have an issue with them falling off the tracks or not).
My husband and I put it together in under two hours, but we were also watching a movie and taking our time. My husband could have easily put it together in under an hour by himself.
The quality is pretty good overall! The wood is softer and does gouge easily, so just be careful about that. Overall very happy with the product so far! Solid 4 stars!

Love this!AmieI got the natural wood with the plain white bins and we love it! My boys have tons of figurines and these bins allow them to find them quickly, rather than having to dig in big bins. The top bins hold so many figurines and it’s so easy to find the one you’re looking for! I have 2 of them that I have right next to each other. I want to get more and put them in their bedrooms!
