LEGO TableLauryn135We used the Trofast to make LEGO tables for our kids. We bought 5 of them but only built 3 fully. we used the other two on the outsides of the built ones to make a shelving area which we then used plywood for (with superglued LEGO bases). It looks great!5
Great storagewyo shopperMy 6 yr old granddaughter and I put it together. Big fun.5
perfect kids storageTwins momGot this for extra storage with the bins that go with it and I have another like it from this type of collection they have. This was good because you can paint it and decorate it anyway you like. It was very easy to assemble as well.5
Very versatileFamily of 3I bought this for my daughters room for toy storage she loves using it for her clothes too! Sturdy and easy to assemble.5
Like but wood is bowedCOmamaI like the storage and have two others but when I put it all together, I realized one of the boards was completely bowed so the bins do not stay in very well. I live 3 hours from an ikea so will have to deal or figure out when to return it3
Do-ableMinStoneIt works really well! It’s very easy for my two year old to use.5
Bins fall out of tracksJillesThe tracks are carved into the wood sides, instead of having plastic tracks. The bins fall & pop out of the tracks easily. Otherwise, it’s a great piece.3
Trofast versatil and usefullPansie67I love this frame, I can add different size drawers/containers and keep art supplies, school stuff, etc. organized.4
Very sturdyFufij78This shelf is an awsome space saver.5
I wish I could give it half a starToeCutterAlthough it looks great, the sides bow out over the course of time. The other Trofast, do not have the slots that are milled in to the wood. They come with metal tracks that get attached. Eventually the sides of this Trofast begin to bow out, and the plastic bins barely fit in there to begin with. There is just enough plastic to hold on to the milled slots. Meaning, the bins are too small to be properly held. The problem begins when you start loading the bins up. If you are putting anything heavier than a scarf, or socks, the bins do not stay in the slots. They fall out. It usually happens at night when you're sleeping and you wonder what that noise was. We bought it for our kids toys, and that makes a lot of noise. The alternative is to buy the shelves, and drastically limits the amount of bins you can use.1
Makes the perfect Lego organizer!KismetGreat for organizing my children's Lego collection. My only complaint is that one of the side pieces of wood was really warped. I was able to get it together though and you can't tell other than bins at the bottom do not fit as snug in the tracks. If I lived closer I would have exchanged it. That being said, I still love the product!4
Okay storageRachel124I bought this for my boys room. They have lots of cars and plastic figures. Maybe they are too heavy for this system. The middle storage container wouldn’t stay in the slots. I think the sides must be bowing out. Possibly it can be fixed by adding a cross bar in the back, but I haven’t attempted that yet.3
Nice storageStorageJReally keeps toys up and put away.5
EXCELLENT FOR MY CLASSROOM!!!Fe FeI bought this about 6 months ago, and my husband easily put it together. I asked him to put some castors on it, and he did. It is PERFECT!!! I use this EVERYDAY, and it looks brand new. If I would have read these reviews before I purchased it, I probably would not have purchased it. If you are considering purchasing this, please do! I'm not sure why these other people seem to have issues with this product. I do not have any issues with the containers, which are excellent quality, coming out of the other end. I will be purchasing another one- well, maybe 2 more!!! Teach children the proper way to use things, and they are more than likely to follow your model!5
Good foundation to build on.StankThe plastic tubs are a bit smaller so it falls through. I had to screw in more wood to hold it up.3
Pricey but works wellVadimR4A very simple design but works well with the IKEA bins. It is defiantly very pricey for a few pieces of wood but it is real wood not particle board. Hopefully it will serve for many years to come.4
Like the storage, not easy to put together.Tracie1983We love how much storage this gives us for our son's legos, but it was almost impossible to do the first step of putting the pieces together. One piece actually broke.3
Nice little cabinet for minor storage items.the ladThis is a nice little cabinet which I'm using shelves with rather than the bins. I plan on picking up another one the next time I come down to Ikea. Lots of different heights for shelves or bins also.4
Great Design. Terrible implementationMaddyWII love the design. Very functional and can hold a lot of kids art stuff, if it works! Unfortunately it doesn't work. The quality is really bad, There is no structural support in the back that the shelf bends out, and does not hold the bins in place. The bins keep falling off and makes a big mess. My husband put a 2x2 in the back and was very concerned the wood might crack if he tries to nail it. I do not expect great quality from Ikea given the furniture is inexpensive. But this one is not worth the $150 I spent on the whole set.1
Love trofastPkhuI have many of these shelves in my classroom! Love them5
