Bad mechanism.SandeepThis could be way better if the lock engaged the tape as you pull it out—it would lock in place when you stop, allowing you to extend it more freely but securing it automatically. To retract, you’d simply press the lock button, and it would pull back on its own. That would be the best design ever, and once you’ve used a tape with that mechanism, you’ll never go back; ordinary tapes will just feel annoying. This right now okay, but not quite perfect, as we’d expect from IKEA.2
