How to get it

Product details

The upholstered seat and comfortable angle of the backrest make the chair perfect for long dinners.

The chair is more comfortable because it has armrests and a rounded back.

The armrests are long enough to provide support when you lean back and short enough to allow you to sit as close to the table as you like when eating.

You sit comfortably thanks to the shaped back.

The powder-coated steel frame is both sturdy and durable.

The chair can be pushed under the table so that it takes up less space when not in use.

Thumbs upJaneI am using it for my desk chair. Comfier than I was expecting and looks better than an office chair would in my room.5
Great design and modern chairGerganaVery comfortable and easy to assemble chair.5
Tossberg is GREATBarbaraI needed a chair to go with the Docksta table I ordered online. When I got to the store, the Tossberg chairs were setup up in a display with it. One second after sitting in them I said, "This is the chair!" It is so comfortable. The seat height is slightly higher than most, which I need for computer work at the table. I can sit in all sorts of positions in the chair (cross-legged, one leg over the arm, etc.) It was ridiculously easy to put together. A winner.5
This is a nice chair.BETHThis is a nice chair. It looks good and is comfortable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's a little small for larger behinds. It's not uncomfortable, but you definitely feel wedged in.4

Got it for hubby's officeCHASITYIt's a comfortable and sturdy chair4
ExpensiveVALERIENice but expensive for Ikea. Pulled the tags off from under the chair and a bunch of staples came with it leaving the fabric hanging!! Would expect better quality for that price!!3
Decent ChairSierra R.I bought this chair for my office and it serves its purpose. I will say, that I does get uncomfortable from time to time. But I like the chair overall!5
Easier chair I’ve ever putPAMELAEasier chair I’ve ever put together and it looks great, also very comfortable5
COMFORTABLEnotneededIt has been put to good use and it is sturdy yet comfortable5
Great chair for a smaller buildANTONELLAI purchased this chair for my desk and it was the perfect size for me. I am petite and 5'1. It would definitely be too small for someone bigger than me. Overall, it works great and is comfortable.4
Comfortable but cheaply constructed30yearsplusGreat chair for our child at the table. Yes, it’s compact and won’t fit larger bodies, but I tried it in the store so I knew it was suitable for us. However, I didn’t look underneath the chair until I was at home putting it together. For a chair that costs $170+, i was disappointed to see staples fastening the liner to the bottom. Yup, 40-50 silver staples all along the periphery of dark grey/black bottom, no better than a high school shop project. Cheap finishing detail for a not-that-cheap chair. I actually like the chair and expected better from Ikea. Yes, some products are pretty bad, but there’s a lot of really great stuff. This one falls short.2
Too smallVerified BuyerChairs are very attractive but too small for anyone tall.1
The most comfortable chairssarah1upI was originally going to a more family/pet friendly chair... until I sat in these at the showroom. This chair is amazing. The lumbar support is perfect, the armrests are at the perfect height (so you can still scoot up to the table) and the whole thing is very sturdy and well constructed. While the upholstery is a very nice quality (tightly woven fabric) I do believe our cat would scratch this up if given the chance and of course any spills will be a pain. So I picked up some throw blankets (51 by 67 is just barely big enough, 60 by 70 would be a bit better) and draped one over each chair. A bit of a pain but well worth it if to protect them. It also came with little floor glides for hardwood floors but we use it on a rug so I left them off. It glides beautifully without them on carpet. I wish there were slipcovers available but this is by far the most comfortable dining chair ikea carries so the trade off is worth it for me.5
So comfy!momplusmakeupI’ve had this chair for a few weeks and I’m surprised at how cushy it is, I really love it! I use it for crafting and can sit in it for long periods of time without being uncomfortable.5

Material

What is foam?

Foam is excellent as upholstery in seating and mattresses since it provides good comfort and can relieve pressure by moulding to the body. Depending on the properties and feel you’re looking for, there are several qualities to choose from, like high-resilience foam and memory foam. The raw material for foam was previously based entirely on virgin fossil materials. But today, together with our suppliers, we’ve begun developing a material that is renewable and recycled.
