Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home.
To build your own combination, place several units side by side or a 14⅝" deep unit on top of a 18½" deep unit.
If you want to use the units on their own in the future, make sure to save the plinth for the top unit.

Awful to put togetherChaseAs a long time customer and assembler of IKEA furniture, I’ve never purchased a piece of furniture this hard to put together. The particle board is rough, making it difficult to slide the pieces together without snagging/cracking, and the drawers are especially awful. And even though I persevered, even though I triple checked my work to make sure I did everything right, at the end 2 of the six drawers don’t quite line up, making it so they don’t close all the way. So disappointed.
Beautiful DresserPatriciaLove this dresser! It is solid and love the light oak color for our guest room! The assembly was slightly harder than other Ikea products we have put together but certainly not difficult. Just need to pay attention to orientation of pieces. I did it myself in a couple hours with help just with standing it up and moving it as it very heavy.
Great DresserHannahWe love this dresser for our sons room! His room is small and this was the perfect in-between size to give maximum storage without being too wide or too tall for him to reach the top drawers. I opened all the dressers in store and this was better quality than most. I went in planning to buy Hemnes 6 drawer chest, but this one felt more sturdy. Also, loved a light wood grain option. Install took my husband and me about 2.5 hours, but was straight forward. We didn't run into any issues.
Easy to assemble and luxurious feelJoakimI don't know what people complain about when it comes to assembly, it's one of the easiest furniture to assemble (ever tried the junk from amazon?) Quality is good, heavy and robust. People wont believe it's from ikea when they come over
Looks Great, Assembly Isn't AwfulManonWe bought two of these. I have built a lot of Ikea furniture so this was not the worst to assemble. I highly recommend taking your time, reading carefully, and doing it with two people. It tooks us about 2 hours to build each dresser. the drawers are HUGE and have amazing storage capacity. They are perfect for people who need to store a lot in a small space.
A step up in quality from previous ikea dressersSpencerI am very impressed by this dresser which I bought for our nursery. I assembled it alone in 2 and a half hours, and I was surprised to find everything extremely rigid, square, and weighty. The natural oak veneer is lovely, the soft close drawers close surprisingly well, and the drawer bottoms are much more rigid than past ikea items. I don’t expect any sagging in these drawers! The only drawback is that I would have expected all metal fasteners holding the base to the rest of the dresser. Thankfully I don’t plan on moving it often so that shouldn’t be an issue. Could also just wood glue the dowels together for more rigidity.
Way too problematicRaelaThis is by far the most complicated piece of furniture from IKEA I’ve ever put together. Many of the pieces do not fit together. The wood is not cut properly for the pieces to slide in together. Unless you want to spend two days working this dresser out to no avail I’d highly recommend not purchasing it. I’d return it if it wasn’t such a hassle to do so. Money wasted.
No worth the effortClaireNot simple to assemble. The backlog the dresser has multiple 3/4” layers making it extremely heavy. The top does not line up as it should.
Poorly fabricatedJuliaI love IKEA furniture, in part because it’s fun to put together. Sadly this was an exception to the rule. On one side of the dresser, I had to drill my own holes for the drawer slides bc IKEA provided them in the wrong location. For the drawers, I had to chip out particle board in every one of the 24 slots bc each was routed to the wrong depth. And ultimately, the last drawer didn’t land on its slide the way it should’ve and is crooked. The dresser is too big and heavy to consider returning after all this effort. A real bummer from a store I love! Will be requesting a refund.

If instructions are red carefully and cautiously, your six dresser should be exactly, or very similar to the picture and what you’ve seen in stores! The drawers are very spacious! The price for the dresser is good and reasonable. I am satisfied with my purchase.
Looks great, horrible to assembleCEasily the most difficult piece of IKEA furniture that I’ve had to put together. The particle board for the backing does not slide in easily and instructions are not as clear as other items I’ve purchased- specifically on demonstrating which holes to put the screws in for the drawer hardware. It was an all day project to get it together, largely due to pieces not easily fitting together. The final product looks awesome though and can tell it’s sturdier than other IKEA dressers Ive had. Love the blond/oak wood color as well
Terrible to assembleVanessaThis was truly a nightmare to assemble. It's heavy particle board (which was fully disclosed), but the center and side pieces slide into the top and bottom. They don't slide easily, and it is very cumbersome and challenging. It is very heavy, for better or worse.
Extremely difficult Assembly and bad manufacturingAnshuman1. The wood was chipping from most of the parts and had scratches on the outside.
2. It was extremely difficult to put it together in a clean manner and the parts are really heavy.
3. Not worth the price!!
