Bad designZhuojinI have used IKEA furniture for more than 20 years, and this is by far the worst item I have purchased. First, the installation instructions for the top and bottom panels are very unclear. There is no indication of which panel goes on top, which goes on the bottom, or which side should face upward. Second, the back panels are extremely thick—together they take up about one-fifth of the total depth, which significantly reduces the drawer space. With five thick back panels, the overall weight becomes unnecessarily heavy. It almost feels like solid wood, but it is not. I’m not sure what the return policy is for this chest, but I am extremely unhappy with this purchase. The design is simply poor.1
Bad quality GabrielThis dresser is poor quality stay away. The screws to put this dresser together are made out of plastic that break. I tried to get replacement parts but they’re unavailable. 1
Arrived with a very annoying defect, but is a nice dresser after repairingJenniferIn one of the preliminary steps for assembling this dresser, you have to put all 4 sides together by inserting pre-installed knobs into pre-drilled holes, followed by sliding the piece into a smaller section of the pre-drilled hole so it clicks into place. This dresser arrived with ALL of the pre-drilled holes installed carelessly. The smaller portion the knob is supposed to slide into was not drilled out correctly, so it wouldn’t slide in all the way. I had to go buy a dremel and file out the rest of the holes myself so I could finish assembling. From trying to figure out what was wrong with the dresser at first, to going out and buying a dremel, correcting the problem, and re-assembling the dresser, I would say the time it was supposed to take to build this was doubled. After fixing this very annoying issue, the dresser ended up looking and working great. No other qualms about it, besides that horrible quality control issue. 3
