Installed on a van project, started leaking 2 weeks later.MartinWe installed it on a van project, it looked nice. we tested it. and it was working great. We closed the kitchen panels and week later started leaking. There is no information on how to remove the commander to get to the cartridge to replace :( This is the last faucet that I will ever get from Ikea. Now I'm seeing the reviews.... but is too late1
Looks nice butKeithThe spring in the diverted valve that controls the spray mechanism started sticking after a short time (less than a year). So I have to pry it open manually to control the spray valve. 2
Do not purchase this faucet!VesnaI purchased one of these. It's a nice-looking faucet. But the finish started to peel off within a couple of months. So I returned it and got another, thinking that the first problem was unique, and I was just unlucky. The second faucet worked fine for a couple of years. Then, one day, as I was turning on the water, the handle broke off into my hand! I got the handle back on, but it doesn't really work any more. I had to turn the water off under the sink b/c I can't trust that the faucet handle will actually work. Talk about poor quality. How do I initiate a warranty claim?1
Started to fail in less than a yearKlausStay away from this product. Very bad quality.1
Looks great, doesn't work well. MichaelOurs stopped working after almost a year. It sprays all crazy and the lever doesn't work anymore so it's just the crazy spray.2
Don’t buyCatharinaAwful quality — leaks at handle. I love much of IKEA but so sorry I bought this faucet. 1
Spray nozzle brokeSuzanneJust a couple of weeks after purchase the end cap/ spray nozzle broke off so spray function is no longer usable and water flow is not good. Not sure how to get a hold of customer service to get this fixed.it looks like this is a common problem after reading through several reviews. Hopefully we can get this fixed or replaced. I love the look of the faucet and functionality until it broke.3
Leaks and low pressureMichaelFirst one I bought had a broken aerator on the nozzle, the plastic tip wasn't flush with the spout and cracked off before I even installed it. We liked the design so we exchanged it for an identical one. Installation was okay except the directions do not describe the size of the coupling so I had to trial and error find out that it was a 3/8 compression. (Directions said 9/16 for some reason. After installation found that the pressure on both the spray and regular stream was very low compared to our old faucet. It makes sense, the supply tubes are very thin. The aerator on the second one was not cracked but was leaking around the perimeter. When using the spray mode, the spray switch was also leaking. We just replaced with a similar faucet from Amazon, 50 dollars cheaper and none of these problems. Will be returning this one tomorrow. Ikea should be responsible not just for a refund but for the time cost of install. Especially for those who used the service of a plumber.1
The black tarnished after a few weeks!MariannaThe sink is not elegant or beautiful. It looks like I've had it for years and it's only been less than a year! It slowly started getting little silver peeka-boo pieces and now most of the bottom is silver. It tarnished and it makes me very sad. There's not even anything I can do to fix it.1
Well made faucetAaronBought it for outdoor sink use. So far it’s been one week with the faucet and there has been no problems. Installation is easy and visual installation directions are included. You’ll need the basic hookups (3/8”) lines (hot and cold). I worried that the rubber hose will wear in the direct sun so I’m covering it with a towel. I added this faucet to an IKEA Grillskar sink and the black color goes well with the black sop pots and shelving.5
Great product and it wasEricGreat product and it was very easy to install.5
Great Improvement for my kitchenCurtisI love this new faucet for my kitchen. The best part is the lever on the side to change from regular stream to the spray feature. So much easier than the buttons on my previous faucet. Love the way the black finish coordinates with the new sink, too.5
Great faucet just not for my sinkKeithWe purchased the Apron front double bowl sink. The faucet works well but it doesn’t reach out far enough into the sink causing water to splash onto the counter unless I’m really careful 100% of the time. I was filling up a pitcher and doing other things at the same time and being that the faucet is so close the pitcher overflowed onto the countertop. Even when washing hands due to the close proximity of the faucet to the edge of the sink I have to be careful to avoid splashing water onto the sink. I try to keep the area as dry as possible to avoid mold since we live in a humid climate so I spend extra time drying countertop because of excess water exposure due to the faucet being to close. I’ll be changing it out eventually. I’d still recommend it to someone with the right sink. It would probably be good for a sink that is occasionally used rather than ever day use.3
Love. But no.LarissaWe remodeled our whole kitchen with Ikea. We got this faucet and as soon as we opened the box we noticed it was missing paint but it wasn’t super noticeable and couldn’t wait any longer for a kitchen to function. We decided to put it in. After a few months more paint has been chipping off. Definitely not worth the money.1
Sleek And FunctionalFerdinandIt was easy install and has a nice finish. I feel like it would look great in most any kitchen including ours :) The top leading to the spout is a rubber component so I'm curious to see how long it can stand up to our hard water. The lever has a firm yet smooth feel. Hope it lasts 10 years!5
Love the TollsjonMayaSo chic! matches well with matte black sink pans; I love it’s detachable. We had a professional install it but it appeared relatively easy.5
Defective paintMaryWe ordered this for our kitchen renovation. When it arrived we noticed that the black paint was not there in sections. We returned it and bought another one assuming this was just a damaged item. The second one was installed and a month later we notice the paint has disintegrated around the base. There is a definite quantity issue with the paint on this item.1

Material

What is brass?

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
