so cute (but finding a light bulb was a huge hassel it was borderline not worth it)Amberto all of the people like me who have scoured the reviews for this product trying to find a bulb that works for this lamp because ikea won't ship their type of bulb that is supposed to be used with this lamp... i found a bulb that works! what you need is a C7 bulb type with an E12 base. i'm not saying that another type of bulb wouldn't work for this, but this type worked great for me (also make sure to get one that is a lower wattage as i dont think this lamp can handle anything over 4.4 watts but it gives off the perfect low level of light that is great for when you're trying to wind down before bed. hope this helps more than ikea's official responses to their critical reviews ...
well, this one is junk, anywayAmyIt's not even about the bulb (though I agree with others that the fact that you need a special Ikea bulb that they won't ship is pretty shady.) But even with no bulb at all, mine won't fit together in any way that doesn't wobble on the bit of cord that sticks out lower than the bottom rim of the base. I've spent half an hour fiddling with it, re-reading the directions, watching videos of other people assemble it online, but this thing just doesn't fit together. Shame, it would've been cute, and there's no way I can get to an Ikea to return it within the return window, so looks like I've just got a bum lamp on my hands.

the SOLHETTA e12 250LM is what I decided on after trying 4 different bulbs
and SOLHETTA e12 450LM also fits but is a little bright for me personally
Cute lamp!RebeccaThe lamp is just the right size and it does give out a nice bright light. I am using it in a dark corner on my kitchen counter to help brighten that area.
So dim, not worth it JanaSave your money, it’s not even worth the low price. The light bulb it takes is so small that it’s a very dim lamp, and doesn’t offer anything to the ambience of a room.
Works with hue e12KatieGlad I decided to order and try a hue bulb I had after seeing other reviews that it doesn’t work, hue e12 is working perfectly! Had no issues installing and it’s so nice to be able to dim this to a really low light. I tried with the suggested ikea bulb and it was too bright for my liking, hue solves that.
Very cool little light NickPuts off a surprising amount of light, but not harsh to look at. Currently have a GE HD LIGHT RELAX LED 40 watt equivalent bulb. Candelabra base.
Tokabo desk lampIvoryLamp is cute and great as an accent lamp but, unfortunately the bulb is much brighter than i want☹️. I added this lamp thinking it would add to my warm cozy vibe but it didn’t work out. I really like the lamp and can’t beat the price, is there another bulb i can use for a warm dimmer lighting?
I appreciate some guidance. Debating to maybe just return the item and find something else ☹️
Cute but design is flawedChristineAt first glance, the lamp is very cute if you're just looking for an accent lamp. The light is not that substantial, but it's good for night light or accent light. Unfortuntately, the lamp only fits an ikea E12 bulb. You can't take the plastic bottom off to put an E12 bulb bought anywhere else. It would have been easy for them to design it to come apart, but alas no. How you insert the bulb is very awkward and takes fussing. I wanted to put a smart E12 bulb to make the lamp more useful, but unfortunately I'm stuck with a non smart Ikea bulb.

OutrageousJustinThis light is designed to only work with light bulbs sold by IKEA, but it does not say that anywhere on the product page and the company will not refund your purchase after you realize you've been swindled.
If IKEA wants to design a lighting fixture that only works with their own light bulbs, that is fine but it should clearly state that on the product page because I would have never bought this light in the first place. Shame on you IKEA.

You need THEIR specific bulb... that they won't ship to you! So, unless you live near an IKEA store, I suggest not wasting your time and money on this product. Terrible experience.
doesn't stand upAnonymous revieweri love this lamp, I've had it for 4 years and it's so cute. My only problem is I can not get it to stand up for the life of me. The way the wire fits on the bottom makes it completely unsteady. I'm not sure if this is just some fault in mine because I can't find anyone else with this issue.
standard E12 bulbs don't fit, only IKEA'sReidlike many other reviews are saying, standard E12 bulbs are just slightly too tall/long to fit neatly in this lamp - so you're out of luck if you want to use this lamp with a dimmable or smart bulb. which is a shame because this is otherwise a lovely little lamp; the frosted white glass and mushroom shape is cute and it makes a great bedside lamp.
i ended up breaking the base (completely my decision/fault, to be clear) to fit a dimmable bulb, and just carefully setting the top on the base and never moving it, which works well enough for how i'm using the lamp, but obviously is not ideal.
Terrible product informationMathieuOrdered a TRADFRI E12 bulb for this which is what the description says and it does not fit. I really wish IKEA would tell you which bulbs can work with this lamp.

What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

I see TOKABO table lamp as a cute little friend who fits anywhere, on the smallest shelf or table top. Glass is my favorite material and with the light and colored surface, the effect is even nicer. The lamp looks great on its own, but the mushroom-like shapes makes you want to buy more ‒ that’s why the lamp has different colors that are fun to combine. In mystic purple and warm sandy-white, they’re like small jewels that can create atmosphere throughout the home.
