It Works As ExpectedJerryConnected to both Dirigera and Home Assistant and it is solid.for indoor temp and humidity. Not really as useful though with Amazon Echo as it's sensors are not seen correctly and it shows as two separate devices.5
Mostly seamless in HomeAssistantDavinI am using HomeAssistant with the ZBT-2 antenna and the devices were able to pair right up. The only issue was updating to the new firmware (1.0.21). It took four or five tries. I would start the update in HA and the device would eventually disappear and not come back (~15 minutes of waiting). I pulled the batteries and it would reconnect with the old firmware still present. The new firmware eventually took and the devices have had no issues since then. This same experience occurred with the water leak sensor. My understanding is that the new firmware helps address connectivity issues. I am on 3 days of constant connectivity at this point. The design of the devices is nice and hopefully they will continue to work well. Push the face to get the display to turn on. It reads a couple degrees warmer than my Ecobee thermostat, but I can level them all out with helpers in HA.4
OutstandingAllenPurchased a Timmerflotte, Klippbok, Myggbett and Bilresa several weeks ago for testing. Easily connected them to my Home Assistant with ZBT-2 as my Thread Border Router with no problems. No disconnects in 2 weeks.5
Promising; Needs Firmware or Software UpdateNathanIn concept, this device is awesome but there are some serious bugs that need to be fixed in the app. The good: beautiful design, love the digital temp & humidity read out you get when clicking on it. Matter connectivity worked flawlessly for me. The temp readings appear to be accurate when comparing to other temp sensors I have in the house. The data you get in the app is promising, but here's where the bugs come in: (The Bad): The app shows temperature "numbers" that are accurate but the scales are wrong (for example, it will correctly read 70 degrees Fahrenheit but it will be labeled and charted as Celsius). Note, there is a toggle switch on the inside of the device that I have set to Fahrenheit. Also on the chart, my readings start at 6AM (instead of 12AM), and when scrolling through the chart, the readout times don't match where you are in the chart. Fix all of these bugs and you have a great device.3
Matter switch was a massive mistake!MarkThe Matter protocol is a mess everywhere. But big tech is pushing it hard! Have a few IKEA Zigbee devices and they’re super reliable, so thought I’d give Matter a try… let me be clear. This might be a Matter protocol but this and any of Ikea’a Matter devices WILL NOT WORK without IKEA’s new hub. The former Zigbee protocol and legacy devices were rock solid from a communications standpoint and even with a IKEA hub, this new generation is absolutely terrible. What were you thinking IKEA?1
They look good, work ok, would be nice if you could force them awakeJonathanI'm using these with home assistant. They pair fine with a ZBT-2 or with an SMLIGHT slzb06mg24. They look good, my only wish is that it'd be nice if they'd wake up and force report when pressed on.4
Great Device; A Little Shaky On Home AssistantBruceThis is a great little hygrometer. Nicely designed, fits seamlessly into the room, and has good readings. My only complaint is that it drops from Home Assistant’s (I do not use Dirigera) Matter server every week or so, and I have to pull the batteries/reinstall to get it to reconnect.4
WARNING - Cannot set up with Google HomeRichardThe Matter-enabled TIMMERFLOTTE sensor cannot be set up using the Google Home ecosystem. In setting it up, it only reported the temperature in Celsius, even when switching the C/F switch to F after repeated resets. Finally, as a product tester/reviewer, I isolated the sensor in a room with my Amazon Echo device, and it automatically switched to F after a firmware update.1
I LOVE IT!ThuConnection with matter was fast and easy. I have this connected to both HomeAssistant AND HomeKit. Firmware update available right after setup. I love that the display isn't always on unless you press the puck.5
Didn't WorkPeterI tried many times to get it to connect to my Thread network. It failed every time. I talked to customer service multiple times. Went through router reboots, settings changes, sensor resets... Nothing got these working. I like the design and really wish they functioned properly.2
Super affordable and compatibleDavideGreat design: simple and modern. Compatible with Tuya to make your own automation outside Ikea system. The only missing feature, at least using Tuya, is the battery level monitor. At this price point you can't find anything better!5
Bad connectivity, needs an update fix asapMathewNone of these will connect in the IKEA Home app. It recognizes the new device but always fails after several minutes. "unable to add accessory" happens every time. I'm going to return them soon if this cant be resolved.2
Timmerflotte reviewNicholasThe humidity seems accurate but the temperature shows 24 which is way off. Not sure how to fix this 3
Lovely device, butJimI have only gotten 1 of 3 of these to work. They’re nice and light but the matter-connectivity seems to be lacking. It times out, I couldn’t even get the bilresa to connect. 4
