Reviews

It is what I was looking for and I was glad to find it at your store where I shop. It isn’t perfect. The dish is not as stable as dishes in larger microwaves, but I wanted something smaller.LindaI am glad I purchased it4
Had this for over a year and it's great!JordanGreat microwave that looks fantastic and fits small spaces which is exactly what I needed. It does take a little longer to cook things but that's something you learn to live with. Haven't had issues with even cooking. There's a reviewer that thinks that its mechanism is a safety flaw. That person just has never seen a European microwave or something that's mechanical vs digital. ;)5

Small, and does the job.LeahMy other (very expensive Breville) microwave oven died suddenly and Best Buy would do nothing about it b/c it was just over it's warranty period. I didn't feel like spending a bunch of money on a new one so I purchased this basic one since we really didn't need anything fancy anyways. It does the job I need it to do. We've had it for several months and it's working just fine. Not sure what other reviewers have experienced, but I trust the warranty of IKEA if anything goes wrong. It has multiple heat settings and a loud "ding" when it's done. Even my kids can use it easily b/c of the dial.5
Started smokingJacob T.After about 6 months of owning this microwave, only using it occasionally, it started smoking internally. Would NOT recommend anyone purchase this - microwaves should last for years, not months. Read the other reviews - this does not appear to be an isolated issue. I'm just glad I was still in the kitchen and hadn't walked away - who knows what could have happened...1
Tillreda microwaveHollyNeeded an inexpensive and VERY small microwave. This fits the bill. Simple settings so not for those seeking auto cook settings etc. 👍5
Perfect size for small spaceAreliPerfect size for small space and great quality for the price.5
Looks good- bad qualityTippiI bought one for me and one for my mother. I still have mine but it makes a very loud rattling noise. My mom's I have to take back this weekend because after only using it a few times it started throwing sparks in a brand new remodeled kitchen! I like the simple look and compact design but they seem to be very poor quality.1
Does not cook evenlyHyunI really love how cute and space-efficient it is. However, I agree with the below review in its ability to cook food evenly. Flatter plates and food are okay, but taller containers such as microwave ramen noodles are not so great. I really wanted to love this product since it’s the perfect size for people living alone :(. Sadly I am returning it.3

Perfection in a small packageJasonThe house my partner and I recently bought had a fully remodeled kitchen, including a high end microwave by a well known American manufacturer. A year into living in our new house the microwave was toast and just out of warranty (a common experience judging by reviews). Rather than shell out $$$ to replace it, I decided to search for something small and simple and landed on this microwave. I was already familiar with IKEA appliances from traveling throughout Iceland and Norway, and the price was right. We never used the extra programmed features on our previous microwave- all we need is a timer and power level. While small, this microwave fits all of our plates, bowls, and casserole dishes without issue. More importantly: our food no longer comes out scalded and boiling like it did in our previous microwave (no matter the power level). This microwave is perfect for our needs and I'm very happy with my purchase!5
Amazing value, simple to useMertAmazing value, simple to use and functions great. It’s also compact in size, fits easily in small kitchens.5
Great for the price, with one safety flawEricIt’s a no-nonsense microwave. Perfect for dorms or small apartments because it’s very compact. I’m surprised that the front is glass, which is very nice because it is less prone to ugly scratches over time than most cheap microwaves with a glossy plastic door. The knobs are very simple. One to adjust power (since it’s a compact microwave and lower wattage, I keep it on max all the time) and one knob to adjust time. The one safety flaw is that if you open the door before the timer goes off, the microwave will pause, but if you close the door, it will continue microwaving with nothing inside. Most microwaves require you to click the start button again if you interrupt the cooking cycle. The problem is that many times, I’ll pull out my food if I think it’s ready before the timer and then close the door. If you don’t remember to twist the timer knob to zero, the microwave will resume with no food inside. This is a safety problem because you are not supposed to microwave without food inside. The microwaves need to be absorbed by food otherwise they just bounce back into the magnetron and it will overheat the microwave. If you get this microwave for you or someone else, be sure the user isn’t forgetful because the microwave will run on its own. Make sure you either wait for the timer to go off before removing food, or you must twist the knob to zero before opening and closing the door.4
Simplistic PerfectionEvanI love how simple and straight forward this is. No unused features, buttons and gimmicks. It's decently strong and has no issues cooking anything I've put in it. This is a minimalists dream.5
