Product question for IKEA customer serviceJenniferI just purchased this yesterday. I can’t comment on the performance yet. I noticed that there is print on the inside of the pan that comes in contact with the food. I was wondering if it might be adhesive that might eventually leach or wear off and into the food. I called IKEA and was told that the printing was lasered on - so essentially a kind of etching. I am hoping that IKEA can respond to my review here by confirming that this is accurate. People seem attracted to this product for its stainless steel construction, so confirming here that there is no plastic would be helpful to other bakers interested in this product. If this product works for me as it has for others and is completely stainless steel construction, it will have earned 5 star+ rating. So happy IKEA makes affordable cooking options without the plastic. Hope that is the case for this item.
UsefulJosephIt's been getting harder to find cake pans that are 100% metal and not some type of nonstick. They exist, but are usually very expensive. So it was nice to find this all-metal product from Ikea at a low price. The design is clever, and being able to customize the size is very useful. I was concerned about the batter leaking out from the bottom, but was pleased to find it didn't leak at all after trying it. I'd be hesitant to use a batter that is very thin in this, but a normal cake batter worked fine.
