DecentHannahThe upright lamp works well and provides a bright light.
The focus/smaller lamp makes a very low buzzing noise that I find just distracting enough to not want to use it.
Still, for ~$12-14, not a bad value. 3
Quality less through the yearsDavidWe have several of the older ones and love them. This newer model, however, has a smaller rod, the plastic white "Shades" came distorted and squished in the box... they never bounced back. I wish Ikea didn't change things. They don't come with bulbs and had none in stock. 2
I like itHopeEasy it to assemble, I ended up leaving one of the extensions out of it because I wanted it to be a lower height. Other than having a little extra cord to wrap out of sight, it's perfect. I especially love the reader light. Perfect for my needs.5
So far so good!ShannonI purchased this lamp in store last Saturday after seeing it on the website.
I recently moved into a studio apartment without overhead lighting in the common area. This lamp is an affordable and SUPER helpful addition to the rest of the lighting in the space. Indeed, it made up for the deficit otherwise.
Other than the fact that it leans a little (which is sufficiently obscured due to where I placed it), it's a great addition to my living space.
Assembly was pretty easy, but the plastic pieces to attach the cord to the lamp post aren't great. 4
Great floor lampMaryI purchased this same floor lamp about a year ago and have very happy with it. So when my husband said he wanted a lamp just like mine. I purchased this for him and he is very happy with it!!!5
Cheap QualityDanielThe quality is very poor. The small bulb doesn't function properly. The plastic cap aruound the bulb was burnt because of the heat of the bulb. Money as good as thrown away. woundn't recommend it to anyone
it appears that Ikea is loosing quality, 1
Cannot unscrew the pre-installed screwsAuroraIt's a very cheap lamp, so I don't know that I expected brilliance on the first attempt, but no amount of trying to unscrew the screws that came pre-installed so I can finish assembly is working. Will be returning and trying again because I do like the idea of this lamp. Also, there are some clips to keep the cord attached to the pole of the lamp that simply are not in this box. Am I supposed to buy those myself? Unclear. Fingers crossed round 2 goes better than round 1 and I am able to return this product.2
Great value for the price SilviaMakes the right light I need in my living room for watching tv and reading. Great product for the price. If you don’t touch the white part, you wouldn’t tell it’s plastic. Looks perfect.5
Very practicalEkaterinaAffordable and practical.5
I love this mirror!ChardayIt’s affordable, I have 2 now. Bought my first one last year & it’s still standing! Assembling the lamp was easy as well. 5
Nice lampAnonymous reviewerOverall a nice and simple lamp that works perfectly for my purposes. A few things to note for potential buyers:
1) It uses two different bulbs, the center piece is standard/e26/"medium," while the adjustable reading lamp is e12/candelabra bulb.
2) the shaft is segmented with ends to screw them together; if you have difficulty during assembly (I did) try various pieces together in different configurations to try to get them to fit properly.
3) Didn't happen to see the specifics under product measurements so: the height of the adjustable lamp (measured from floor to the start of the base where it's attached to the shaft) is at about 106cm/42in. This works perfectly for me, but might not work for others.5
Does the job, but...CelesteThis lamp works fine and doesn't look as cheap as it is. This looks exactly like one I bought from IKEA about a decade ago. It was only after I put it together that I realized this one requires two different types of bulbs. So minus one star for the inconvenience.4
great value for the moneyHelenIf you are looking for a functional lamp that looks good this is your lamp. Material is cheaper plastic fixtures but for the price I am buying more of these 5
Ridiculously attached screwCiI bought two, all light bulbs, but it is impossible to remove the screw to assemble it. I just cannot use it. And it's not a defect, because I bought two and none is working. Terrible mistake. 1
Good lampMarcyEasy to put together it looks Nice in my room5
Simply functional MarkMeets needs5
Can't find side arm lamp lightbulb!JackieWish I had read these reviews before I purchased the lamp! There is no IKEA in my state and website says bulb is n/a for delivery. There is no substitute light bulb for the side arm lamp. Must use the IKEA brand, "Solhetta" LED bulb, E26 450 Lumen. Label on the side lamp says, Use Max 8.6 W, Type A, SBLED lamp. (The Tagarp lamp fixture does not accept a GE/Philips etc. LED A19 8.5 W bulb!) Wish the floor display had a sign informing customers that this lamp needs a specific IKEA bulb.4
Great reading lamp for the priceBethanyThis is my third purchase of this lamp. Easy to put together. The box is heavier than the size implies but that is because the lamp base has to be heavy for the stability. Need to look carefully at the bulbs if you care to have both types the same warmth or coolness of light. Works great in my basement. 5
Great lamp for the price!JudyFor $13.99 you can't go wrong! Easy to assemble, two lights. I now have 6 in my house. My only complaint is the short cord if you use the clips to hold it to the pole, and the pole unscrews very easily making the lamp crooked. I would definitely buy again.4
Poor quality and impossible to assembleWilliamOne of the screws is broken and cannot be loosened, making the entire piece impossible to assemble. 1
