Height inconsistentDanielI bought two of these in the same order to place on both sides of a row of bookshelves. One is quite a lot shorter than the other so it looks way off. Disappointing. I live too far away to return one.

AwfulMyriamthis lamp looks tacky. The cord hanging on the side is ridiculous and doesn’t even lie flush. Lamp is crooked once assembled and low quality so do not buy. You get what you pay for next rang truer than this moment.
Home Hearth KimberlyI had a baby in January and it’s been the most excruciating life change. It’s so hard. Giving birth in winter and an exceptionally rainy year so far the sky has been grey. Tiny eyes I don’t want to overwhelm with the large light. So we rely on this lamp and natural light in our small living room. Things have been pretty grey. But this lamp has been going STRONG. I know it’s probably not intended to be used 24/7 but nearly six months straight it has been the light in the dark for me. I’ve only turned it off s few times. We don’t get out much. I am very thankful for this quality product. I know it might sound silly. In such an isolating times, a light that hasn’t gone out heals up a little bit of my heart. I really mean that.
Quality has gone downAnshulWe purchased these lamps last month (April 2025). We have had a couple of these lamps from some years back as well.
The new lamps are not as good as the old ones. We have noted the following things:
1. The height of the shade is less.
2. It is not easy to assemble or fit the shade with the base/body of the lamp. Previously, there was a plate that tightened and held the shade. Now, it is a friction fit kind of a thing.
3. The lamp only allows small wattage bulbs.
4. The design is less beautiful, specifically the shade and the base of the shade.

GREAT OPTION FOR ANYONE ON A BUDGETJohnI was looking for lighting to place at either end of the sofa (also from Ikea) in my new apartment, but like so many people these days, I wanted an inexpensive yet elegant option. The Tågarp fit the bill in every way. It's clean lines and ease of assembly were additional pluses.
When equipped with Alexa-capable smart bulbs, they form an essential part of the apartment's vibe.
