This bed frame has a soft cover with a loose fit, a hanging skirt and carefully sewn details. The cover can be removed and machine washed – so that the bed stays fresh year after year.

Product details

The entire cover is removable and machine washable, making your bed easy to keep clean and use for a long time. The cover comes in two pieces, so it’s easy to remove and put back on.

The soft cover has decorative stitching and a slightly wider headboard that gives the bed a unique look.

The bed skirt adds to the look and hides away things that you store under the bed – a perfect space for storage boxes or bulky items.

The cover is made from the dope-dyed fabric Vissle of which at least 90% is recycled polyester. It’s a durable fabric with a smooth weave and a nice two-tone effect.

The soft, padded headboard is comfortable to lean against while reading or watching TV in bed.

The headboard is upholstered all the way around, making the bed perfect to place in the center of the room.

You can easily vacuum under the bed frame to keep the space clean and dust-free.

The bed frame is easy to assemble and has a lightweight and sturdy construction

You can buy an additional cover separately – in the same style or with a different expression if you want some variety

Broke when I sat on the bedOliviaWe have a house full of IKEA products but I am now sitting on the floor of our bedroom at nearly 2 am trying to decide where to sleep because I sat at the foot of the bed and the bed broke. I weigh 160 lbs. This is absurd. IKEA should stop selling this immediately. 1
Cheap quality ElizabethThe stitching is a dark brown and it stands out to much with the light beige color. The fabric looks cheap and the head board is too thin it need more cushion. It just does not look right. So sad it didn’t work out will be returning asap. 1
No opinionPerryThe bed is junk. The first time I sat on the edge of the bed the foot board broke in half which was replaced by iKEA. We had no problems with the bed until a few weeks ago when I sat on it and once again it snapped in half. I weigh 220 lbs so that may be the problem but no the less it broke and I was hesitant to go through the processes again. So I purchased an eight foot 2x4 and reinforced the frame myself. So when I decide to replace this bed I will know to purchase a sturdier one probably somewhere else.1

I wanted a bed frame with a bed skirt and the skirt is made with thick material and the Velcro is brilliant, the bed skirt stays in place. The lines are classic and timeless and I hope that vendors on Etsy and other sites make slipcovers for this bed frame in different patterns. If you are on the fence, BUY THIS BED, you will not be disappointed.5

"The idea with TÄRNKULLEN is to start with a robust bed frame and add covers that can be removed and washed. This way, the bed can be used for longer and continue to look fresh year after year. The covers I designed come in two styles – one that is snug and tight, another with a softer fit and a loose-hanging skirt. You can also switch covers if you want to change the style or just make a little tweak. No matter the cover, I want the bed to feel cosy, friendly and welcoming."
