Tilt function provides protection from the sun all day long.
The fabric is made of polyester, of which at least 90% is recycled – a durable material which is tested, approved and free from harmful substances and additives.
The fabric gives excellent protection against the sun’s UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 50+, which means it blocks 98% of the ultraviolet radiation.
The parasol canopy is easy to keep clean since it is removable and can be machine washed.

Unusable after 1 yearBrianI bought this in the spring of 2025. It was great for the spring, summer, and beginning of falk. I stored it indoors as fall turned cold and we stopped spending time outside. Now it is spring 2026 and it's like it has lost all of its ability to stay put. Any wind at all sends the base into a twist and there's no way to tighten the insertion point into the base at all. This is just a gigantic wobbly wind sail at that point. It will only be usable on days with no wind at all, which we don't get very many of.
I'm incredibly disappointed in this because for $300 you should get something that can be used for more than one year or you should be able to tighten the points that are now loose.
Great size and shape VeronicaUmbrella will last you years! I suggest an umbrella cover for winter months. We have two, one that covers one side of the pool and another we use for our outdoor table. It’s adjustable which helps with the sun. Our back yard faces the west. Worth the money and you will need to buy the base but it’s very sturdy and worth the money.
