Corporations which show zero attention and concern for product quality and fair business practices will fail eventually. FOR SHAME, Ikea! Stop the greed!

Stopped Working After a MonthEmmaI really didn't mind the lamp or assembly, it's a nice little lamp for the most part. The issue is that it just completely stopped working after about a month of having it. Tried new bulb, plugging into other outlets, but nothing. Not really sure if it's worth replacing or if I should just get a better lamp.
Cute if you can assembly it!DaveI had to return the first one for a manufacturing defect. It is hard to assemble, BUT it’s such a nice vibe. I would recommend assembling in the parking lot before leaving IKEA… I think there is a high probability of failure, at which point you should return it and try again.

Terrible product not even worth $10JessicaI’m a huge fan of ikea but this product is a bust. Things don’t just “snap” in as indicated in the instructions. Also the shade was almost impossible to get on the frame and I ended up poking a hole in the paper.
I bought a version of this lamp many years ago, maybe not at ikea, and it was so easy to assemble and lasted me for many years.
This (and its larger version) was a big disappointment and even though it was super cheap it was a complete waste of money, effort and design.

Horrible. Impossible to put together.KinetaGetting the bottom of the shade over the legs is impossible, not without A LOT of force and inevitably shredding the lamp shade. Not worth even the cheap $10 cost. In fact, the person or people who designed this should be forced to pay anyone unlucky enough to buy it, as compensation for the frustration. So, buyer beware, this will end up in the trash day one, because it's not even worth the hassle of returning it.
Impossible assemblyTamarYes this is a lovely petite paper lamp. However, it is impossible to assemble. As mentioned by other customers, the circumference of the metal rods are much larger than the base of the paper shade. You cannot click them in place without extreme force or practically ripping the delicate shade, unfortunate

Tough to put together without ripping the shadeJonVery cute lamp, but you have to exert enough force to get the bottom part of the lamp shade on that it's very likely you'll poke a hole in the lamp shade while assembling it.

With the STRANDAD lamp, I aimed for simplicity, both in terms of design and to keep the price down. The lamp had to fit into a small package and be easy to assemble. We explored different materials and shapes and ended up with this almost non-existing build: simply a paper cylinder that elegantly diffuses the light, and a metal wire base that follows the shape of the shade. It turned out this is all you need to create a nice, ambient light atmosphere throughout the home.
