STOREMOLLA chest of drawers is made to be used and lasts for a long time. The drawers are made of robust solid pine and run on hidden runners with an integrated soft-closing mechanism.

The finish has warm, rich colors that you can easily match with other furniture. The solid wood’s natural expression is visible through the stain, which also helps to hide small marks from everyday life.

The rounded corners and edges give the chest of drawers a softer look – and are also a bit kinder if someone in the family happens to run into it during sleepy mornings or lively evenings.

All drawers have cast-iron knobs in a timeless design that goes well with solid wood.

Each drawer bottom is covered in a striped paper foil which creates a smooth surface for delicate clothes and adds a Scandinavian touch.

I’m very satisfied with this dresser. Tricks listed in my review please read.XinI previously had a non–solid wood IKEA dresser, and after a few years it became flimsy. That’s why I decided to go with a solid wood one this time. If you follow the step-by-step instructions, it’s actually quite easy to assemble. The only tricky part is installing the drawers. I read some negative reviews about this dresser, and I think many people missed a very important final step that isn’t clearly shown in the instructions. When you insert the drawers, you can’t adjust their height by pushing them in alone, so they may end up touching the top or bottom of the frame. However, there’s a small ring on the click mechanism that you can twist to raise or lower each drawer and align them properly.5

Looks nice but…AlyssaThe look is nice and it’s an overall solid and sturdy dresser. Appreciate the safety tip mechanism. My issue is with the drawers. They sag, don’t align straight, and have gaps. When opening tops drawers together they scrape on each other and you can see how they don’t sit straight. One of the middle drawers has a large gap at the top because it sags. We put everything together correctly and even re-assessed when noticing the misalignment. Just seems it’s an issue with the wood and positioning of the holes and brackets or maybe just a problem with the brackets itself. In the grand scheme it is still a relatively cheap piece for furniture for what you get but for IKEA it’s more on the expensive side and more disappointing than other less expensive IKEA dressers. 3
Strong chemical smell that persistedAimeeNice dresser that went together without much trouble and the price was right, but sadly for us, this thing stunk to high heaven. It was giving us headaches, itchy eyes and throats, and irritating our skin. The frame was fine, had a bit of a smell, but we could be in the same room with it without trouble. The drawer backs and sides however smelled strongly and the smell wouldn't go away, even after airing out for a week and a half with the windows open all day every day and air filters running at night. After IKEA removed the dresser and refunded our money, the smell persisted in the house for well over a month, despite the weather being really nice and the windows being open regularly. The problem seems to be whatever adhesive or gloss is on the drawer backs and sides. Please IKEA, please use non-toxic glues and finishes! Lots of time and energy wasted on what shouldn't even be an issue in the first place.1

Manufacturing defect right out of the box. Poor QCCharlesThere’s a split in the wood on the side panel. This is a manufacturing defect as there seem to be holes drilled onto the reverse side of the panel that correspond with the split. This should have been picked up during the packing stage. Now I’ll have to queue for an hour to exchange this but there’s only one left in stock so I expect I’ll have to haul all of this back to the store for a refund. Thanks IKEA1
