MildewedAlejandraThe stench from this rug after opening it was unbearable. We were not able to use it due to the fact that the rug was wet and mildewy. I'm not sure if it had been returned after being left out, or if something happened during production and/or storage, but it was foul. 1
very lovely rugLiliyawe have this rug for already 5+ years and very happy with it!5
Love my rugDeeFits my space perfectly. Looks very nice. Is thin but I knew that when I bought it and it’s not a problem5
Quality has gone downElenaI previously bought a flatwoven run from Ikea and loved it, so I made this purchase thinking it would be similar. This rug is functional but colors are inconsistent within the pattern which makes it look cheap. Definitely have something under it though because it slips around like crazy. Dirt also sticks to this rug more than my previous flatwoven rug. Disappointed, will have to purchase my next rug elsewhere.3

Material

What is wool?

Wool is a practical natural material that usually comes from sheep. The raw wool is washed and then spun into yarn. Wool rugs have many advantages. They're soft, warm and comfortable to walk on, and they're also very hardwearing. They're stain-resistant too, because wool has it own natural oil. This means that dirt stays on the surface and doesn't penetrate into the rug. All wool rugs shed - some more, some less - vacuum them regularly to prevent the loose fibers from scattering.

Function solution

Wave farewell to flying carpets

STOPP and STOPP FILT anti-slip rug underlays keep your rugs firmly in place, so no one slips on them. Cut the underlays to any size you need. STOPP FILT, which is ⅛" thick, also helps preserve hand-knotted rugs and makes all your rugs feel thicker and softer.

Form design process

Made using the hand loom weaving technique

In a hand loom, horizontal strands (the weft), are woven over and under vertical strands (the warp), repeatedly until the rug is complete. Depending on the complexity of the design, producing a rug with this technique can take from a few days up to several weeks. Unlike other techniques, such as hand-tufting, a hand loom does not produce a pile, rather it creates an even and flat surface. This technique allows for intricate designs and patterns and the rugs tend to be lightweight yet durable. They are also reversible and easy to clean, making them a practical and popular choice.
