Great for work!!!RebekahWhat a nice little ring light that connects easily to the ports on your laptop as a power source. I didn’t need the charger they recommend for it (?) maybe it’s portable but I just have it plugged into my Lenovo work laptop and it’s great. Very cute, too!
Too BrightCoryI purchased this light on my last visit to the store, with ambitions of using it for video calls without needing the overhead light. The lowest brightness was still too high and caused as much eye strain as leaving the big light on.
Great idea!PatriciaLove the idea of this product, which works very well to even out the lighting on one's face when online. However. The connection cord is very short while the "clip" area is rather wide and apparently not adjustable so it balances on top of a laptop screen but the cord is too short to use with a wider desktop monitor unless the unit is next to its monitor. Which mine isn't.
Only good for laptopsPhilipeThe power cable is way too short for anything else than a laptop, I had to but a USB C hub with a cable long enough to use it on my desktop. Another downside is that the light does not pivot, another negative when you use two monitors. By the way, you cannot use a USB c extention or adapter, I trid, the light does not work with them. The switches are touch sensitive and not very sensitive. Bottom line would I buy them again, likely not
Compact and easy to store when not in useDonaldI like how this is compact, making it easy to store when not in use. Brightness and light hue can be adjusted. Minus 1 star because the hinge is cheap making light slightly lopsided.
Sleeper Hit Ring LightLauraIkea has packed a lot into this $15 gem. Surprised at how elegantly this light is designed to fit on top of monitor or laptop. Nice cushioning gently sits on monitor and it is balanced perfectly to rock forward and use as keyboard or hard copy illumination. BONUS: Slide a bit off center—it becomes a camera cover. it has 3 or 4 different light tones: warm, cool and you barely touch it to light it up then make it brighter or dimmer.
A nice little ring lightMarilynSo far so good with this little ring light. Does everything that I need it to. Works well and dims properly. Good warm white color which is what I was hoping for. Good that they've chosen a USB-C connector for power as that's the new standard. I would ding it a half a star for one reason only. The LED in nonerplaceable, which means when it dies, it is into the garbage can. Please come up with a replaceable LED version for the future. For the price and the functionality, I would give this overall a positive recommendation.

Very Much Designed For The Laptop UserStephenThis was a product I found entirely by accident at my local IKEA, but it seemed like it would fit a need I had been wanting to fill for some time. On paper, this sounds like it should be a great ring light for video calls.
It is, but only if you're using a laptop (and one with a USB-C port at that). The cable on this is painfully short, and the light itself will only tilt up or down, no rotation otherwise. If you use an external monitor, you're going to have to look in to an extension cable from elsewhere to plug the light in. Be careful plugging this directly in to a USB-C charger as it could be too powerful for this and create a fire hazard; use a USB-C port on a computer.
Hopefully IKEA will come out with a second-generation version of this with more flexibility.
