Unusable drawersAlexandraI love the look of the dresser. The only problem is that it’s not usable. The drawers don’t slide out far enough for it to be practical, and you can barely take things out of it. 1
Love this dresser!AutumnI was hesitant based on reviews and the drawers not opening that far, but I got them anyway and so glad I did!! I absolutely love this dresser! To me the drawers come out far enough and I have no issues getting clothes in and out. I did add gold pulls instead of the black that came with and it dressed it up! 5
The design is amazing PauletteThe finished product looks great 👍 5
Great Product for better priceAnonymous reviewerLittle time consuming to assemble the product. But final outcome was great. Looking at reviews yes it opens halfway but still functional effectively. 5
Great look but the drawers don’t open all the way! ColetteI love IKEA but as usual the drawers don’t open all the way so giving the drawers 3 stars 3
Do not recommendShannanExtremely hard to put together and broke while I was assembling. Don't waste your money on this. Cheap quality.1
Perfect sizeSallyThis is a good size for small spaces. Easy to put together.5
only decent itemJuliei bought many pieces of furniture from ikea since i was young and after having kids and as they were growing up. needless to say, the quality has decreased over the years but the last 2 chests i purchased for my kids broke in a year. i still like ikea though so i wanted to give it another try. songesand line is the only drawer that seems to have sturdy parts - not flimsy thin bottom for the drawer that all the other lines seem to have. putting it together was not hard but i truly dont appreciate the plastic parts as some will break during installation. it does take 2 people to put this together so have someone help you. i shall see how long this will last; i’m hoping it will last at least a few yrs before i move onto another piece.3
Do not buyJenniferDrawer opens only about half way by design. Had delivered and now I have to figure out how to return these. Waste of time and money!1
This thing is barely functionalMatthewIt's a beautiful dresser and wasn't hard to put together, but I really want to add my torch to the fire on the drawers issue. They open legitimately like 8 inches and it's not workable. You have to snake your arms deep into this thing to get your clothes out of the back. I know it was changed because of the federal act regarding tipovers, but were the wall anchors really not enough? You had to make the drawers useless like this? This thing is never going to tip over with the wall anchors installed. Even if that was a concern, you should sell a version that is extra tipover resistant for households with small children, and a normal version, so not everyone has to deal with these drawers. I'm not going to return this thing because I already spent 2 hours of my life that I will never get back building it, and Ikea isn't going to pay for someone to build me a new one, so the best I can do is to tell you how dissatisfied I am and hope one day you guys will revert the design.1
Can this even be considered drawers?MattHave 2 older versions and they are typical IKEA - good enough for what they are. This new one is basically garbage. The drawers do not open enough to even get a folder T-shirt in. Dear IKEA - if lawsuits have you afraid to make chest of drawers- then just stop making chest. Don’t make an unusable product and try to tell me it is a chest of drawers. 1
Nice designKathyIt’s a very nice piece of furniture with an unfortunate flaw. The drawer slides don’t allow the drawer to open enough to get items out from back of drawer. 3
It doesn't open full drawerNajilaIt looks good, and the size is exactly what I was seeking, but the drawers do not open fully. I can't get things from the back of the drawer. 1
The drawers don’t pull out very farTinoI don’t know how this can be a four Star review on these drawers barely pull out. I don’t know why IKEA doesn’t come up with the fix that we can get rails for these that are longer so we can open the door longer. This design needs to be changed.1
Great Product with QualityLesterA great addition to our bedroom. Strongly built.5
DrawersRobertThis was exactly what we wanted, but we were disappointed when we discovered the drawers opened halfway. We have installed different railings. 3
Drawers don’t open far enough DanielThey changed the design so that the drawers only open halfway. You can’t access the back of the drawers anymore 1
Not enough access to the drawersNicoleWhen the drawer is open all the way, you can barely access the back of the drawer. Poor design. 1
Okay - Drawers don’t open all the wayPjOverall has a great look but the drawers do not open properly. 3

IKEA takes the lead to reduce the risk of tipping

At IKEA, we want to create a better everyday life for the many people – and a safer life is a better life. That’s why we constantly work to develop innovative stability solutions.

Furniture tipping over is one of the home furnishing industry's most serious safety issues and we’ll never stop working on innovative stability solutions for our storage furniture. A tip-over accident can happen when you least expect it. It could be someone using a drawer as support to stand up or children climbing to reach something on top. But no one can predict all the scenarios that everyday living at home can create. That’s why the best way to avoid tipping accidents is to always anchor the furniture to the wall. But we also offer new stability solutions that help make our storage furniture safer. One example is our stability feature Anchor and Unlock. "It means that the chest of drawers must be anchored to a wall to be able to open more than one drawer at a time, which reduces the risk of tipping, but doesn’t entirely remove it. By anchoring the chest of drawers to the wall, you unlock the drawers and can open them all at once," says Björn Andreasson from the development team. Another way we increase stability is to integrate it into the design. "With GREÅKER cabinet with drawers, for example, we´ve developed hinges that stop the doors at a 115-degree angle and keep them there to reduce the risk of tipping," says product developer Dagmara Pawlus. IKEA of course meets all safety requirements in our markets, but we don’t just settle for this. We often set higher demands than what legislation requires to help people enjoy a better everyday life – in a safer home.
