We have many removable covers to choose from, so you can always find one that you like for your new sofa or when you want to update the one you have at home with a new cover.
You can sit in comfort with a slight, pleasant resilience thanks to the elastic weave in the bottom and high resilience foam in the seat cushions.

Care

The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist color fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 242 lbs.

Well loved and customizeableClaireI have had this couch for almost 5 years now, originally I bought just an armchair, and then bought a chaise to add on to it. It's really nice that ikea always has this line of sectionals so I could add to it in the future. My favorite part is the depth, and pro tip: a two seat wide couch is almost exactly the same size as a regular twin mattress. When friends stay over I pull out a twin sized foam mattress topper and take the cushions off, and now it is a sleeper! Never had a complaint. Additionally, a lot of third party retailers sell designer covers and compatible feet with this couch so you can refresh the look every couple years! My only con is that it definitely requires a fluff and cushion adjustment every week or so if you use it heavily, but I care a bit more about comfort than look with couches so I don't mind at all.
2.5 years later - still OK & looks goodEmmaI bought this couch in January of 2021 - back when it was $550 for this sectional. It was difficult to put together on my own, but once I had it together, I loved it in my tiny (350sqft) apartment. It's been a cozy addition to my place, not the squishiest couch, but worked for a place to watch TV & nap. The fabric color has faded a lot on the side of the couch near the window, so colorfastness is an issue.
I originally purchased this couch in the hopes that when I move into a bigger place, I can order more seat sections and make it a larger sectional. Well, the time has come and now the price of just one seat is $399 (?!?!?!?!?!) and they don't make the turquoise anymore.
Unless something has drastically changed regarding the construction and comfort of this style of sectional + chaise, I don't think I'd buy any more Soederhamn pieces. It is absurdly expensive now! I'm really disappointed the price has skyrocketed.
Love itBrandieI have always been a huge fan of the soderham. Second time owning one and still find it comfortable and love the look you can pull off with it. Modern, Scandi, or mid century if you change the legs. I just wish they would bring the finnsta white covers baaaaack!!!! Please ikea, please!

Don't buyAnthonyWorst couch I ever bought. Legs were bent, covers and inserts did not fit properly, horrible instructions. Excessive assembly requirement. I could have bought a better quality assembled couch at another company. Ikea customer was terrible. They don't care about the customer. stay away from Ikea products.
Terrible legsAliciaThis sofa is absolutely awful. The legs are not stable and start to wobble and break the threads of the screw holding them in place. We replaced the legs and reinforced them and it still broke. We haven’t had it more than 2 years.
Great Quality Comfortable SofaChristieThis was purchased by my daughter but, she purchased this because I have one that I purchased on 2016. Super easy to build. For reference we were able to fit the chaise and chair (not assembled) in the back of her KiaForte with the seats folded down, so easy to bring home if you have a smaller vehicle. Super easy to put together and my couch being 6 yrs old is still in amazing condition and I use it along with my Yorkie Annabelle daily. Totally worth the money plus the fact you can change the covers- BONUS! The Soderhamn has lasted and stayed brand new for over 6 yrs compared to the $5000 chaise and sofa I purchased from HOM Furniture in 2012 - the HOM sofa cushions flattened out and the fabric wore after 2 years of sitting on it. Completely enthusiastically recommend the Soderhamn. Complete value for the money spent.
