Satisfactory for my needsSusanThe depth of the shelves was good. Height of the compartments do not accommodate a book. I am using it over my sewing station and needed it for books and other sewing needs that need to be handy. All is good except I couldn't store my sewing/quilting books in it.
Good shelf but $10 increase in priceJikunI’ve purchased many in the past couple of years for about $30 each. That is why I noticed the price hike to $40. Still a good price if you only get one or two.
Meets the needJ TThis shelf unit is just what I needed for size and space. The assembly was a bit of a task. My disappointment was that one bolt and hole did not match up correctly so that could not be secured and the corner of the unit broke off so at least it’s in a place where it’s not readily visible. I had to use some wood glue to put the piece back into place.

One of the few things thats still affordable MarleneIkea unfortunately increased prices on many things as well, but now and then there is a little gem to find. This shelf is definitely a good shelf for that money.

What is particleboard?
