The furniture is made of acacia, a naturally durable and sturdy hardwood because of the high density of its wood fibres.
Acacia has a rich brown color and distinctive grain pattern. It is highly durable, resistant to scratches and water, ideal for heavy-use. Acacia slightly darkens with age.

Stupidly SoftEricWe really thought we hit the jackpot with this table. Love the size, love the look, love how it goes with the chairs we selected, and, most importantly, we loved that it's real wood and not veneer. But it has to be said that this is made out of the softest wood that has ever been sculpted into a table. After less than six months of ownership, this table is covered with indents from nothing more than my kids doing their homework on it. I strongly feel a dining table should be able to withstand the strain of someone writing on a piece of paper on top of it.

The table itself is great - wipes clean easily and doesn't show water marks. We have 2 kids in the house so spills happen (ALOT) and this table has been great. Gets heavy use and looks great. Was also easy to put together. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Sturdy. Too narrow in smaller version.HollieI wish the shorter version (63 inch length) came in the same width as the 90 inch. Its a full 8 inches narrower, and the proportions are really silly for a table that length. I bought it thinking it was just the length that was different between the 2 versions. I need a bigger table, but they are all 90 inches, or too small. In this case, too narrow. Debating on returning it, although I've already thrown out my last table and I don't want to pull it apart. Table itself is okay. Easy enough to put together.

The acacia is GORGEOUS and easily compliments any room/floor colors. I'm beyond thrilled (Ikea listened to me lol) and made this table a size fit for a smaller home. I LOVE IT!
