awesomeTAMMIEthis is the best and easiest to put up5
Sturdy and practicalLeslieI was a bit surprised by the difference in SkAdis vs. a traditional pegboard, but find that is works just as well. The only downside is that you cannot use many of the non-IKEA pegboard accessories on the market. Specifically, I use a pegboard to store thread spools and IKEA's skAdis accessories have no straight dowel type pieces to offer and none on the other makers' straight dowel pegboard hangers fit. I found something on Etsy, but they are rather expensive to purchase the amount would need. So my review is only a 4 and would be a 5 if the straight dowel option was available for purchase. Without it, my use of this style of pegboard is limited.4
Organize your stuffTINAI hung it horizontally. Some of the hooks only work if it’s hung vertically. Just be aware when purchasing the accessories. Other then that, it works great.4
Great productNancieI bought 2 of these pegboards to store/display my sewing tools. They are always in plain sight and easily accessible. Highly recommend.5
They’re greatLavoneThey’re great5
Needs two brackets or two boards.JasonI like this cheap and useful system but one flaw i encountered was that at least on my walls the board wasn't held down well enough for me without two brackets of which you only get one but other people will likely have better results.4
Totally SatisfiedSueI wanted a pegboard but disliked the idea every time you removed something the peg would fall out. The DOES NOT happen with Skadis. There are 3 hooks that hold the accessory secure. I purchased 4 for a sewing room and the quality is very good, more like a plastic than fiberboard. Installation is easy and looks very nice. I would buy again in a heartbeat.5
PegboardJENNIFERThis worked as expected. It looks nice.5
I put them everywhereCINDII love these boards. The hardest part is timing the trip to the store when items are in stock.5
Great product, no stockWHITNEYInstallation was easy, and it looks great. But since only skadis accessories will fit and there is limited or no stock of those available, it’s not able to be used fully.4
Perfect for Sewing Room OrganizationkrazikrafterPurchased to organize odd size measuring/cutting tools. Easy to mount & variety of accessories increases the versatility of this board.5
Pegboard Jewelry DisplayPrestaCreationsI bought the pegboard to use as a hanging display option for the jewelry I make and sell at farmers market’s. It’s working out exactly as I hoped it would.5
Great featuresMaryans1202Have used this in my craft room to hang tools for jewelry making, and have just used this peg board for my pantry.5
Sewing suppliesSewer50I bought this pegboard to hold my sewing supplies, scissors, rotary cutters, rulers, etc.It doesn't take up much room, and takes the supplies off the desk and make more room.5
Love it!JML1963I love the clean look of the pegboards. The only thing that could be better are the accessories. The paper roll holder is cheap and looks bad on the board.4
Versitile, functional and minimal.LazymomHave this in my craft area. Love how I can configure it to suit my needs.5
Best idea from IkeaBarney1This is a great organiser and I love its simplicity and practicality. The attachments you can add are most useful and its so good in putting all necessities in one place!5

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.
Forests are critical for life on earth
Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.
100% wood from more sustainable sources
At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.
IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030
As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.
We accomplish more by working together
For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.
What is fiberboard?
Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are – and this determines what we use them for. So regardless if it’s a bed, a wardrobe or your new bathroom cabinet, the leftover wooden fiber becomes a resource instead of going to waste.
A storage solution for the entire home
You can combine SKÅDIS storage series any way you like. And if you change your mind, it’s easy to change the accessories and create a new solution. Choose if you want to attach it to a desktop, to a shelf or hang it on the wall.
