Product details

Tilted, easy to grip handles make it comfortable and safe to pour out the contents of the pot.

The lid has a glass window that allows you to monitor the contents of the pot during the cooking process.

The entire pan, including the base and sides, has one layer of aluminum between two layers of stainless steel. This distributes heat evenly and energy efficiently from several directions and makes it easy to regulate.

The pan has extra thick walls and base, which distribute the heat evenly.

The graduated interior makes it easy to measure liquid directly in the pan.

You can cook food on a low heat and save energy, because the stainless steel in the pan absorbs heat well and retains it for a long time.

Suitable for all types of cooktops, including induction cooktops.

The lid is slanted on the inside so that condensation drips down into the pot during cooking – instead of landing on the countertop when you remove the lid.

Made of high-quality stainless steel, which makes the pan very durable and easy to clean.

Steam vent reduces pressure so that food does not easily boil over.

Using the lid brings the contents of the pot to a boil faster, so that you can save time, energy and money while lowering your environmental impact.

Great potYOKAGreat pot5
A bit pricey but worthLAURENEA bit pricey but worth it. Heavy for holding heat at an exact temp.5
Not perfect, but worksAnnaIt is a fine product, but you are expecting a little bit more from the top line in terms of usability and comfort. For me it’s all about things you touch: like lid could be better, handles are always like you are on the wrong side… so it’s not perfect, just fine. And works with induction as it says4

Does not fit Stabil insertsSar Siu JamesI bought this pot because I really liked that it is very thick and heavy and also, it is 3-ply with a thick aluminum sandwiched between two different types of stainless steel. One of the reasons that I also bought this is that its description says that it fits the Stabil inserts such as the steam insert and the pasta insert. But guess what, when I was about to steam a char siu pork, some 3 months after acquiring it, the steam insert wobbles like crazy because the slot is offset differently from the mouth of the pot. It seems like the mouth of the pot is smaller than the intended diameter of the insert. I though it was just fine because I could slip a pressure cooker gasket around the insert to make it stable. To my shock, the lid of the Sensuell pot does not also fit the mouth of the insert. Grrrr. I thought I would go crazy. So I tried to see whether the pasta insert would sit just fine, unfortunately, it too wobbled. I really felt bad because these pots seem like the highest quality IKEA has ever produced but it's just so frustrating, disappointing, and infuriating that the Stabil inserts do not fit. Anyway, Stabil could be used on 2 other models of pots, the 365+ and the Oumbarlig. I checked back at the IKEA and found that the inserts are most stable when using the 365+ model1

SENSUELL Pot with lid, stainless steel/gray, 5.8 qt

Made by food lovers, for food lovers

Our appetite for cooking is growing. And as we improve our recipe game, we need the right equipment, too. This is where SENSUELL cookware comes in. Before getting started on it, we worked with pros and food lovers to learn what features they find essential for culinary magic.

The SENSUELL team spent a year speaking with professional chefs to get their take on how the pots and pans should look, work and be constructed. Naturally, the demands were high. The range had to be functional, incredibly durable, and work extremely well with heat.

Built to last

"The result you get from a pot or pan is really down to how it's constructed,” says product developer Lennie Malmgren. "So for SENSUELL we decided to work with stainless steel for its heat holding properties, and at a thickness that's versatile enough to cook just about any recipe." The benefit of using stainless steel that is thicker than your typical home cookware, is that it heats up consistently without hot spots or cold patches, meaning your ingredients are cooked more evenly. And a weightier construction means they're more than durable enough for a restaurant-level workload – or say decades worth of dinner parties.

Cooking like the pros

If you haven't used restaurant quality stainless steel pans before there's just one technique you need to remember. Start the pan on high heat, then add some butter or oil before lowering the heat to halfway before you start cooking. This will ensure your ingredients brown evenly and won't stick to the pan. No matter what recipe you're mastering next. "I find it exciting to think that these pots and pans can help people perfect their recipes and enjoy cooking even more. Lennie says. "And that you can keep on enjoying cooking for years to come because they're built to last.”
