The handle provides a comfortable and secure grip because it follows the contours of your hand and has silicon on the underside.
The base of the frying pan is extra thick, which browns food beautifully and minimizes the risk of food sticking to the surface.
The entire pan, including the base and sides, has one layer of aluminum between two layers of stainless steel. This distributes heat evenly and energy efficiently from several directions and makes it easy to regulate.
You can cook food on a low heat and save energy, because the stainless steel in the pan absorbs heat well and retains it for a long time.

My Favorite PanSerenaI actually got mine at a thrift store for like $10, so I came here to look it up and wow! What a deal! Regardless, I will be buying another one someday. The metal on this pan is nice and thick, so it holds and distributes heat really nicely. Its also appears to be one solid layer of metal. It passes the fried egg test with flying colors. Ive also cooked many steaks and fish fillers on this pan with no problem. Its also relatively easy to clean, all you need is some steel wool, dish soap and a bit of elbow grease. But if you do it right, stuff really doesnt get stuck to the pan at all.

Pan I enjoy cooking with the mostChristopherOut of all pots and pans that I own, this one feels the most satisfying. It somehow just sits perfectly in your hand and the weight is great. Heats up well and stays hot, though cooking with stainless steel has a learning curve. Sometimes needs vinegar to get completely clean.
Love, Love, Love This Pan!DoreenI purchased this frying pan on February 12, 2017, when the cost was $49.99. Over the years, it has become my "go to" skillet, especially for dinners. We have a gas stove, and the skillet cooks up almost everything wonderfully. In fact, the more I use it, the more seasoned it becomes. The pan is extremely sturdy, and the handle is easy to manage, with little heat. My only wish is that IKEA had a pots and pans line that matched the quality of this pan.

Fantastic panDeoborahI spent a riciculous amount on new stainless steel pans only to come across this one in the store. Much better quality so had to buy it for comparison. Love this pan better than pans more than 2x the cost.
Love this pan but no lidNatalieI would have given this a 5 star because I love it. It is heavy and very well made. I have the 11" and 9", but giving it 4 stars because there are no lids. I bought a random lid that works with the 11" pan but never found one for the 9". Also I would love to have matching pots but they do not make them.
One star off for warpagePaulI gave it five stars in my initial review below, however now I must demote it to four stars because the pan has warped. -- Which may be operator error on my part but I hope not. Regardless I am going to try to get it replaced under warranty and will be much more cautious with a new one.

Best fryerAnnThis frying pan is thick and heavy. Because I am trying to live a healthier lifestyle, the pan is stainless steel.
I tend to forget and burn my food. It happened in this pan. Cleanup was not an issue and am able to use the pan time and time again.
I love this panIvelisseI bought one of these pans about three years ago. It looks like brand new. It's so versatile. Definitely one of my go-to pans. It's really worth the money.
Thick, heavy, and even. Great value. But no lid.PaulI just bought this pan and am very impressed. It heats evenly on my induction range and browns beautifully with little sticking. It gives other clad stainless pans a serious run for their money. My sole complaint is there is no lid included or available for this pan(!) Really, Ikea? I have to make due with one of my old Calphalon lids.
Best Stainless on the MarketMaryThis was my second IKEA cookware purchase, the first being the stainless steel pot. I have a set of 3-ply from all-clad that were much more expensive and seem half as quality as this the two I have from ikea. This skillet has quickly become a workhorse in our kitchen cooking for 2 and it shows no signs of wear or tear, unlike our other skillets. I hope they continue to expand this line since it is one of the best bang for your buck kitchen items out there.
Excellent quality for the priceEricSwitched all pans from nonstick to stainless steel and cast iron. Pan is heavier than you’d expect so it retains heat very well. Easy to clean. Only part I don’t love is the silicone piece of the handle. I’d much prefer solid metal with a hole to hang it with. Doesn’t change how well it cooks though!
