Great Cabinets for the Laundry roomSamehGreat cabinets for the laundry room. Easy to assemble and install.5
New cabinetsMicheleI love everything about these cabinets. I designed my kitchen, put them together but had someone install them. They are very well made and look beautiful. Everyone that comes to my house comments on them and are shocked that they are IKEA cabinets and that I assembled them by myself! 5
Nice cabinets AmyWe put these in our laundry room. They hold all our laundry and cleaning supplies. Every time we look at them, we admire their simplistic design. We love the soft close feature. 5
Wall cabinet boxMelvinCabinet box is a little flimsy4
Great option for SektionJoanThese are great for over fridge/sink areas.5
The box at the root of the cabinetEricWhile intended for over the counter, these are great as a built-in just over the floor, using the SEKTION hanging rail and legs for looks. Assembly is standard Ikea, so not difficult, but will require some nailing, and I recommend using a framing square or larger (12") framing triangle to ensure things are square, especially with something like the 30" wide, 30" high cabinet that is square.5
Quality cabinetJarrodEasy to put together, Inexpensive, and well worth the money.5
These products were for aCherylThese products were for a DIY in our dinning room. It turned out better than we had planned. We are thrilled with the end results.5
small, but annoying issueDavidI got this cabinet with 4 maximera drawers ... the included gap filler 124518 works perfectly for 24" cabinets but when used with 15" cabinets with drawers the filler is too big and interferes with the top drawer ... overall though the section cabinets are solid.4
Sektion KitchenJessicaI love my new Sektion kitchen. The cabinets were easy to construct, the directions were clear, and everything went together smoothly. Hanging the cabinets was easy. I highly recommend a Sektion kitchen for anyone.5
Not just for the kitchen!JonathanI used eight 30 x 14.75 x 40, four 30 x 14.75 x 30, four 24 x 14.75 x 40, and four 30 x 14.75 x 30 to create a 168 w x 15 d x 120 h floor to ceiling closet wall that looks amazing. These kitchen cabinets provided better flexibility in sizes (i.e., smaller) and option of clear glass doors as opposed to the PAX system. Now, we can see all our dust-free shoes without opening a door. Alignment is precise as long as your rails are perfectly level and shimmed where the drywall is not flat. Off by even 1/64" and it will be way off after several feet of distance. If the rail is not shimmed and conforms to a wrapped wall, then the cabinets will not be plum/align in spots vertically. While not meant to hold clothes, the eight 24 x 10 drawers work perfectly. I also added four hidden drawers behind the 30 x 40 cabinet doors for sweaters and other folded items. We could not be happier with this luxurious looking closet!5
Sektion kitchenPamela C.You guys asked me to share my feelings on the kitchen I just bought but when I clicked the link, you wanted me to review each product individually. There were over 100, so I’m not going to do that. However the kitchen was just installed and it looks great and seems to be working, so I’m happy.5
Missing upper wall cabinet.FeliciaMy kitchen is 99% complete, but it's been missing a single wall cabinet box for 2 months now and no one is doing anything about it. I can't get a fabrication timeframe or any information about when the product will be back in stock. All I can do is put in a request to be notified when the item is back in stock which I've done 10 times over the past 2 months with no responses. We love the cabinets we have, but this missing piece is creating a big problem where there doesn't need to be one.3
Perfect floor cabinet to cover our Laundry chuteBonnieI bought this cabinet to cover our laundry chute that is in our remodeled bathroom.. I purchased a marble cutting board for the top and we are please with the look as it matches the sink vanity.5
Water damageAmyUsing this cabinet in normal conditions without any cutting or modifications, I observed that water damage was present after being exposed along the edges. No screw holes, cuts or damage was there before the water, with the painted and sealed contact area deformed and swollen became present.3
One spill and junkJayThey look nice, I put a set in utility room. I put a 6 pack of pop in it and 1 tipped and must have had a small leak. Next day particle board bottom is all raised and split. Looks horrible. My 60 year old cabinets still good to this day. So be aware any water will destroy them.1
Nice cabinetRobinI use this cabinet in my bedroom, even though it’s for the kitchen. It’s beautiful and jus the size I need.5

A kitchen that took us around the world

Whatever your dream kitchen is, it’s probably different from many other people’s dreams. This we learned when researching kitchen desires around the globe. Our conclusion for the SEKTION kitchen system: it should make it possible to design the best kitchen for you – whatever your preferences and living situation.

Our ambition is to help as many as possible to have a kitchen they'd love to be in. We started sketching. “When we created SEKTION, it was our biggest ever kitchen change, so it's fair to say we were very keen to get it right,” says technician Klas-Ola Nilsson.

Research from around the world

So, what would people’s dream kitchen be like? We surveyed thousands of people, visited hundreds of homes and worked with food industry professionals. “We found if there's one thing in common with kitchens around the world it's that they're different.” Klas-Ola says. “For as many people who dream of an open space kitchen, there are people with a small space, or have to fit a pre-existing room.”

From research to result

One element became blindingly important. “We realized we needed a kitchen system that could adapt to different sized spaces in a way that hadn't been done before,” Klas-Ola says. “So, we developed cabinets that could fit almost anywhere.” Different sizes can be mixed to best fit the room and they'll still fit together – without odd ends. The clever inside can be personalized to support your kitchen needs and activities, too.

Ready for the future

An adaptable kitchen fits better with how you like to cook, both now and in the future. Whether you start craving a more professional kitchen, or just want to start using it for more activities, we would love SEKTION to help out. “There's nothing to say that SEKTION is set and fixed now,” Klas-Ola says. “It's something that's evolving and that we're developing as our ideas on what a kitchen should do changes into the future.”

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
