Product details

A high cabinet provides pantry space for dry foods allowing you to have your most essential ingredients at home and close at hand.

Depending on your choice of kitchen organizers, you can tailor your high cabinet into storage for cleaning supplies or kitchen textiles. Or make it into a pantry by adding MAXIMERA drawers.

Thoroughly tested to ensure this product can withstand the high demands of everyday use in the kitchen.

The sturdy, 3/4 " thick frame construction has a melamine surface that is moisture- and scratch-resistant, and easy to keep clean.

One reinforced shelf offers extra stability for built-in appliances.

You can adjust the shelf height thanks the pre-drilled holes inside the cabinet.

Back panel ensures a sturdy construction and stability.

The edge band conceals the particleboard on all edges. It also seals and protects the cabinet surface from moisture and impact.

Add organizers like cutlery trays, utensil trays and plate holders to organize and make efficient use of space inside cabinets and drawers, sold separately.

love these cabinetsDianehave had these for 5 years and still going stong5
solid and well madePeggyShelving unit is really tall and as described. Well made and solid.5
Design is dangerousBrookeI ordered the whole system which looked nice at first but soon shelves were falling everywhere with things on top of them because of the poor design and the way the shelves are meant to be held into place. I could not have it in my kids’ playroom. 1
Not worth itKevinI’ve had this about 2 years and it’s bowed out. The pins are no longer able to hold the shelves in place.2

Perfect!JenniferSmall kitchen reno quote $25K. Decided to challenge myself & start with one wall, 90" pantry & above fridge cabinet. End result is I LOVE IT & should have done it 10 years ago! But my advice would be: you really need to have patience. I did have to take a few pieces apart (drawers) because I did not use the right holes. The directions, admittedly, are sometimes hard to interpret. But once you get the hang of what lurks in some evil genius's mind, you go back to the directions & see they were spot on! I assembled everything myself with the exception of the largest, heaviest panel. Luckily, I had a knowledgeable friend who helped hang rail (I wouldn't trust myself to do that because I know little about house framing/studs, etc) & lift cabinets into place, but everything went as expected & looks great. YouTube videos were incredibly helpful. But if you're in a rush & impatient I can understand how it might be frustrating. I will be able to renovate my little kitchen for under $5K!5
Cabinet collapsed twiceChristopherThe cabinet over time will push outward on the sides, used as a pantry it collapsed once and I re-positioned the 'locking' shelf, then it collapsed a second time with every shelf falling at once.1
cabinet bowed out and the self wont hold any more AmrThe cabinet was good for some time but than the cabinet walls just bowed over time eventually so much that the pins holding up the shelf gap out and won't hold the shelf any more. Clearly a defective and dangerous product 1
Ikea Changed picture once I received the cabinets. LarryOriginal picture shows a recessed toe-kick. the ones delivered did not. I can send you a picture of the original ones I ordered. Very disappoint Ikea did not provide what was pictured. Now additional work is required to install cabinets!3
Great quality and easy to assemble RenataGreat quality and easy to assemble 5
fell apartRockeytook three of us to lift this piece up, first time I assembled with brother it fell apart when lifting.1
not greatJunthe shelf is easy to break and fall1
Inexpensive, but painfulAnonymous reviewerI have installed both standard cabinets and now installed a kitchenette using SEKTION. I can only recommend IKEA kitchen cabinetry for purely budget focused project. We had damaged parts, missing parts and parts that broke during install. Issue range from warped panels, to scratched doors, legs that broke at the slightest movement and hinges that failed. In the end with multiple trips to IKEA we managed to get everything together, but it was far more aggravating than it was worth. 3
CabinetEdwinGreat good looking and easy to put together cabinet...5
Versatile cabinet box for modificationDarrellIkea kitchen cabinet boxes are versatile. In my case, I needed a 40" tall closet dresser. Standard kitchen cabinets are only 30", but I *cut one side of this in half* and made my own 40" box for drawers. I only had to drill new holes along the cut end.5
Good, but expensiveHannahWorks well and looks good, however, the drawers keep shifting side to side ever so slightly4

A kitchen that took us around the world

Whatever your dream kitchen is, it’s probably different from many other people’s dreams. This we learned when researching kitchen desires around the globe. Our conclusion for the SEKTION kitchen system: it should make it possible to design the best kitchen for you – whatever your preferences and living situation.

Our ambition is to help as many as possible to have a kitchen they'd love to be in. We started sketching. “When we created SEKTION, it was our biggest ever kitchen change, so it's fair to say we were very keen to get it right,” says technician Klas-Ola Nilsson.

Research from around the world

So, what would people’s dream kitchen be like? We surveyed thousands of people, visited hundreds of homes and worked with food industry professionals. “We found if there's one thing in common with kitchens around the world it's that they're different.” Klas-Ola says. “For as many people who dream of an open space kitchen, there are people with a small space, or have to fit a pre-existing room.”

From research to result

One element became blindingly important. “We realized we needed a kitchen system that could adapt to different sized spaces in a way that hadn't been done before,” Klas-Ola says. “So, we developed cabinets that could fit almost anywhere.” Different sizes can be mixed to best fit the room and they'll still fit together – without odd ends. The clever inside can be personalized to support your kitchen needs and activities, too.

Ready for the future

An adaptable kitchen fits better with how you like to cook, both now and in the future. Whether you start craving a more professional kitchen, or just want to start using it for more activities, we would love SEKTION to help out. “There's nothing to say that SEKTION is set and fixed now,” Klas-Ola says. “It's something that's evolving and that we're developing as our ideas on what a kitchen should do changes into the future.”

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
