cool look, poor functionMarythere is so much space that goes to waste with this pull out for the corner cabinet! I want something that makes much better use of the space in the cabinet - even for things we put at the back because we don't use them often. I'm thinking that a shelf in the back - or even better - a rectangular pull forward for the back half and a slide out rectangle shelf for the front half.
WonderfulLynnI am so pleased with this design, it took dead space to a whole new level! How clever this is. Love it!
Awesome corner cabinetRichardSo far so good! Were installed a month ago and going well. Pull out shelves are well built and hold a good amount of weight. Very unique and great layout to a corner cabinet
Another pointless upgradeBrianThey've done it again, made a change to the sektion system that literally nobody ever needed. having the 21" doors was extremely useful in most of the kitchens I have designed and installed. If you want a 24" with drawers you definitely don't need all the wasted space in the corner, so why bother? just use the 24" base. why can't they ever address the existing problems instead of inventing new ones? why not offer a 21" drawer front to match the 21" drawers/frames? a major issue with IKEA is not offering small enough cabinets, you don't even offer a 12" stand-alone drawer anymore. people don't really like these huge 24" doors, especially in smaller kitchens. The lazy susan is bigger than every one else's and now this cabinet is 3" wider than it used to be. Can we maybe get some 9" frames. seriously I've watched this downward spiral for 13 years now. stop ruining your kitchens. the thinner, shorter cover panels and less threads on the screws? all the ways to save a penny.
Very solid cabinet. JenniferI have two comments. Assembly was straightforward for the cabinet itself. During assembly, if you are using the door on the left side, the directions for where to locate the brackets on the bottom of the shelves are incorrect. This image should be a mirror image for the left-hand door set up. I had to take them off again and put them in the opposite position. After looking at the book, it is apparent that the author showed the same configuration for both installations, when they should be reversed. Now I have additional holes in the bottom of both shelves, though they will not show.
My other concern is how to cover the white area left in the corner of the cabinet while using Enkoping doors on both the corner cabinet and the sink base next to it. Of the rest of the 14 cabinets I installed this is not a problem where the white is not hidden since I bought cover panels for the cabinet ends.
