Don’t get a kitchenJoAnnaFrom planning to install it was a pain …and still not right ..but I gave up ….1
Dining room buffet!KARENLove these cabinets! So much room, slide beautifully, easy to assemble and install! We will never use other cabinets! In fact, we hate the other cabinets in our house!5
bestCheungThis is very well-built cabinet. Well worth the money5
Don"t buy!!Susanne T.I'm a huge fan of IKEA, really. I just love IKEA, we have plenty of IKEA furniture in our house. I know it is not West Elm quality but neither is the price. Right now I'm rethinking my relationship with IKEA because auf the kitchen fronts. We did a huge kitchen with Axstad fronts last fall, 13 cabinets overall with over 20 drawers and lots of doors. We have grey base cabinets and white uppers. It is IMPOSSIBLE to keep these fronts clean. Even if you clean right away, there will be greasy stains left that are not going away. They will somehow get burned into the surface and you always see them. If you have a dark kitchen with no sunlight, these might be ok but with a sunny kitchen you will ALWAYS see stains and grease. It is disgusting. I cleaned with soap water, detergent, any product you can think of, The stains will NOT GO AWAY. Search the net and you will find plenty of complaints. These fronts are a failure all along from IKEA. DON'T BUY THESE FRONTS!!!1
Good Cabinet but alignment is ...VanessaBought a couple of these cabinets. My husband and I put them together, but we had to YouTube "how to" several times. The one thing that is still a sore eye for us is the bottom drawer isn't aligned. We've done everything and watch every video and nada.4
Section drawer cabinetDORTHEThe 2 identical cabinets had to be put together differently . Holes for drawer tracks in different places for each cabinet1
Kitchen RemodelKirstenThis piece was a last minute change from original plans. Love how much storage it holds.5
Chips easily!Jessica_designer123We just added all new cabinets to our kitchen. Unfortunately, the cabinets chip easily and IKEA does not have matching paint to cover the chips.1
Love my new cabinetssusan515Especially love the deep drawer as it pulls out so I have access to things in back. Tall enough to store my InstaPot and blender.5
Holds tons!BDownesWe recently redid our kitchen and love all of the storage options and smooth operation of these drawers!5
Love itNattaD73I love the way it looks. Easy to clean.5
Easy!KitchenDesignerI am very happy with this item! It was ridiculously easy to assemble, and it works just great. The drawers are spacious, and they glide smoothly. The only thing I don't like about them is there is too much of the base cabinet showing after I put the drawers in. I fixed it by painting the front edges of the cabinet, but was disappointed in the fit. I just love the way these function, though! A special shout out to the IKEA product engineers who made this so easy to assemble. I have great respect for them!5
great cabinetLydiaanni added this cabinet to an existing island cabinet, and it worked out great and gave me both more counter space and storage5
Super cabinet....eventually.cirene47I've put together over 25 IKEA products so I'm familiar with how the instructions work. But this was a real challenge, since the base cabinet can have multiple drawer configurations. Had to redo drawer glides twice because drawers were off. This is the first item I've put together that I actually think the instructions are not correct (not consistent). But I love this drawer arrangement. I used the cabinet as a filler with my original oak cabinets. Looks great!4
Ellen17I love them. We made 3 cabinets with drawers. Putting them together got a little confusing as I tried to put them together in an assembly and thus put the fronts on in the wrong holes and had to redo them. But it all worked out5
GreatMHenkelsWorks great in our new kitchen5
Great drawersCricket junkyWe bought this base cabinet and worked so well. Soft close feature is excellent, drawers do not bang when you close. Spacious drawers. Three sizes of drawers makes it easy to store variety of items.5
Very good quality and very easy to installDermo BI'm originally from Europe where I've installed a lot of ikea furniture including a lot of kitchens so I knew what I was getting which is in my opinion as good as any kitchen out there5
The drawers are perfect for dishes or cookware.BayLindseyI had pros assemble and install the cabs and it went well. The draw fronts cover the cab boxes for a high end look. I'm using the top drawers for flatware with the IKEA bamboo organizers and the white poly organizers for cooking utensils.5
Working well so farVictoritzaWe bought the cabinets in April and overall they were good. We had a few issues but in the end everything was resolved satisfactory5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
