I could not see theIngridI could not see the table and chairs in person before ordering it, so I bought them sight unseen. Mistake. They are heavy, but that's not the problem. There doesn't seem to be any finish on the furniture. We have bought similar table and chairs from IKEA previously and are very happy with them. That is why I bought the Ronninge set. I am afraid the surface will not hold up without a proper finish.
